Funny how it seems CBS wanted the font for the story titles to go back to the Bank Gothic font used during on their evening newscast for the final years of the Dan Rather era/Bob Schieffer period.

 

I thought they were going to move FORWARD.

I actually like it... fits the mornings better. The previous open seemed like the open for one of those entertainment news magazines that air in the evenings.

Caught a bit of the new look this morning - overall, meh. I will say the execution of the half-eye/sunrise is much better in the corner bug than in the logo.

It suits mornings much better. But I agree, CBS should dump their news department and outsource to CNN.

Watching a few minutes of it this morning, it's just sickening how much it's playing off of the Today Show's look throughout the product.

Yeah, I find that to be boring. I liked the now old Early Show graphics because they were different than the other morning show graphics and kind of flashy. They also fit the music better than the current graphics package. The current graphics are okay, but they are boring because they look like the other morning shows' graphics.
