WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted June 20, 2008 Posted June 20, 2008 [yt]JrXYTMuAcb0[/yt] Same fashion as the 5PM and Good Day opens.
rtmclaug 70 Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 An interesting choice of opens. I wonder why they changed it. I personally didn't see any reason to do so. I thought the old opens were okay, but change can be a good thing.
fox2 191 Posted June 21, 2008 Posted June 21, 2008 umm, they can't be bothered changing the time to 10 o'clock??
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted June 23, 2008 Author Posted June 23, 2008 umm, they can't be bothered changing the time to 10 o'clock?? B) I dunno, but I think the chopper may be a just a tad busy at 10PM to fly over City Hall.
rtmclaug 70 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I'm just wondering why FOX 29 didn't mention in the new opening that they were in high definition.
CircleSeven 1960 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 I'm just wondering why FOX 29 didn't mention in the new opening that they were in high definition. Not all television stations have VOs stating that they're in high definition. Even if some newscast are in HD, that doesn't have to mean that they have to showboat it or advertise it. If you have an HD set and you're watching the news is on in HD, that self-explanatory right there.
FJ2000 5 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Well, the truth is, Fox 29 was HD ready since the street side set debuted. Once it was leaked that they'd go HD to kick off the fall season, channel 6 scrambled so they could make the claim that they were "the first to go HD". They still brag about it today.
KRAP-TV 146 Posted June 27, 2008 Posted June 27, 2008 Fox 29 News News At Ten. This open has issues...
detroittv313 3 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 They are so wrong about that. WTXF is the second station to go high-def. Only WPVI (ABC O&O) is the first.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 It's an interesting open. I've noticed that they are using the glossy O&O logo more. I do think that they mention that they are in HD during one of the cut-ins to break. But it has been a while since I watched Fox 29.
WCAUTVNBC10 413 Posted July 10, 2008 Author Posted July 10, 2008 They've been in full HD since Jan. of '07
ybYellow 2 Posted July 10, 2008 Posted July 10, 2008 I must say that I'm not too fond of that open, even though the one WFXT uses is no better...
