PunditWannabe 0
That's a shame....I always thought she was good. Hope she ends up elsewhere in the market. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/4326-vivian-lee/#findComment-40200 Share on other sites
NYNews 54
That really is a shame. She was an excellent reporter. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/4326-vivian-lee/#findComment-40256 Share on other sites
NewsJunkie247 1
That's terrible. When I would visit relatives in the New York area during the summer, I would watch WNBC on a regular basis and I thought she was one of the best reporters that they had. I hope that she ends up on one of the other New York TV stations. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/4326-vivian-lee/#findComment-40315 Share on other sites
NewsJunkie247 1
Richard Huff reports in today's Daily News that Vivian Lee will join NY1 News as an anchor and reporter starting on Monday. The article also states that Dianna Russini has been let go from WNBC. She has been at the station for less than a year and before joining News 4 New York, she was a reporter for News 12 Hudson Valley. rtmclaug 67
It's good to hear Vivian stay in the NYC market. Hopefully, when she starts at NY1, WNBC will see how much of a mistake they made in letting her go. Let's hope Dianna stays in NYC, as well. I wonder if these firings have anything to do with WNBC's up-coming change to a 24-hr news channel. NYNews 54
That's good to know she'll be in NY. With more anchoring experience, maybe she'll be back on one of the top 3 in no time, b/c she's way too good for NY1. TellyGenic 33
Yes, but is Vivian REPLACING another NY1 anchor? Or has Kristen Shaughnessy finally found that anchor job she's been craving outside of NYC? Or has Kristen Shaughnessy finally found that anchor job she's been craving outside of NYC? I really hope that Kristen Shaughnessy doesn't leave NY1. I've met her and she is one of the best anchors that they has. She is also extreamly nice and seems to like her job a lot. TellyGenic 33
Vivian debuted this weekend as anchor (with Kristen) and did an excellent job. I realize Vivian is filing the spot formerly held by Gary Anthony Ramsey, who was fired about a year ago because he called into John Schiumo's "The Call" under a pseudonym and ranted about some issue. In the intervening time, NY1 has been using other reporters (Rebecca Spitz, Dean Meminger) as the weekend co-anchor, but now it looks like Vivian has the spot. She did really well - very comfortable on-camera in the anchor chair. Glad to see her again.
