FJ2000 5 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Dave Huddleston will be weekend co-anchor. He's a great anchor, and I'm happy he's still has a job in Philly. It's nice for them to add another familiar face to rebuild from the Mendte/Lane debacle. http://cbs3.com/topstories/dave.huddleston.cbs.2.864645.html
PhillyWatch 240 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 I just don't get why 29 gave him the boot for Thomas Drayton. That guy brings absolutely nothing to the table. Good to know he found work in the area, lighten the load a little for Mary Stoker Smith.
Jess 1116 Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Great pickup! Huddles was one of 29's biggest assets.
NickMa 0 Posted November 15, 2008 Posted November 15, 2008 They should have replaced Chris May with Dave and bumped Chris back to weekends.
rtmclaug 70 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I'm thrilled that Dave will be back on Philadelphia airwaves. I loved his work on FOX 29. He will make a great addition to the CBS 3 team. I do think he could do better on weekday evenings with Susan Barnett, but I'll take what I can get.
TVNewsAnalyzer 0 Posted November 16, 2008 Posted November 16, 2008 I remember people saying that CBS3 should pick up Dave but I honestly thought it would never happen. It's not everyday a anchor fired from Fox29 is picked up by one of the big 3 in the city.
Jess 1116 Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Huddles did a report on the 6pm news last night. Good to see him again.
gameshowguy2000 1 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Wait...this the same guy who was a host on PBS's Newton's Apple? If so, I recognize him.
