Weeters 1969 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 If you're a complete geek like me, you're following @nbc5it on Twitter. For the last few months this person has been tweeting about the installation of a massive new fiber-optic newsroom/editing system that supports P2 cameras and HD playback. Could this mean the "Content Center" format is on it's way?
NBC 5 Chicago 196 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 interesting. I have a feeling that there is going to be some big changes at WMAQ. I wonder if they will finally get the O&O graphics. And now that Warner is gone i think there will be some new anchor assignments.
brb588 113 Posted May 24, 2009 Posted May 24, 2009 Can I assume this would mean that shows like Ellen soon would be transmitted in HD?
Weeters 1969 Posted May 24, 2009 Author Posted May 24, 2009 Can I assume this would mean that shows like Ellen soon would be transmitted in HD? Probably not, as Master Control is at the hub in NYC and not in NBC Tower.
StudioTech 15 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Just a note that WNBC stopped using the name "Content Center" on the air a couple of months ago.
KRAP-TV 146 Posted May 27, 2009 Posted May 27, 2009 Just a note that WNBC stopped using the name "Content Center" on the air a couple of months ago. That's good to know - it was a stupid gimmick given that it is no more a "content center" than it is a regular ole newsroom...
