WMAQ preparing for "Content Center"?

If you're a complete geek like me, you're following @nbc5it on Twitter. For the last few months this person has been tweeting about the installation of a massive new fiber-optic newsroom/editing system that supports P2 cameras and HD playback.

 

Could this mean the "Content Center" format is on it's way? :)

interesting. I have a feeling that there is going to be some big changes at WMAQ. I wonder if they will finally get the O&O graphics. And now that Warner is gone i think there will be some new anchor assignments.

Probably not, as Master Control is at the hub in NYC and not in NBC Tower.

Just a note that WNBC stopped using the name "Content Center" on the air a couple of months ago.

 

That's good to know - it was a stupid gimmick given that it is no more a "content center" than it is a regular ole newsroom...
