KRAP-TV 146 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 http://tonightshowwithconanobrien.com/photos/gallery#item=72501 I'll form an opinion when I see it in action, but so far...not too bad...a little retro...
DMA 135 Posted May 30, 2009 Posted May 30, 2009 I think it's fantastic...I'm loving the Art Deco details.
brb588 113 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 NICE! One of the better recent late night sets I've seen!
NYNews 54 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 The 3rd and 9th pictures reminds me of WNBC's old set.
thafernykid 2 Posted May 31, 2009 Posted May 31, 2009 Very nice set!!! And that's a pretty cool promo up there. ^ I can't believe I hadn't seen it before, haha.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted June 1, 2009 Posted June 1, 2009 I love it too. Can't wait to see it in action tonight.
PTVNews 196 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 This is cool: http://www.tonightshowwithconanobrien.com/video/clips/time-lapse/1094768/
ProButtonPusher 230 Posted June 2, 2009 Posted June 2, 2009 the show itself is perfect. I hope its this good every night.
KRAP-TV 146 Posted June 2, 2009 Author Posted June 2, 2009 It was a very good show. I've never been a huge Conan fan, but I quite enjoyed his first night. The opening sketch was a bit long, but that's about the only complaint I had. I think he'll be a hit - he's a natural! The set is really cool, too. It's definitely grown on me after watching tonight. It's a throwback to Carson's days, and a departure from Leno's (which I was never a fan of, but became accustomed to - and it seemed to work well for him). I'll definitely tune in tomorrow night...
Weeters 1969 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Time lapse of the construction of the actual set is up.
Que 73 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Not a fan of the backdrop for the monologue. Here is a nice image going around the internet:
Weeters 1969 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 Not a fan of the backdrop for the monologue. Here is a nice image going around the internet: :bang: I think if they used a darker blue (more like his Late Night set backdrop) it would look better.
DMA 135 Posted June 5, 2009 Posted June 5, 2009 I liked the style of the previous one better. A wooden Art-Deco one would be good also. I noticed a bit of an Easter Egg...behind Max Weinberg is the Empire State Building tucked behind a hill.
thafernykid 2 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Ahahahahahaha! As I was reading this post, the background thing came up on the show. It's pretty funny, never noticed it before.
TrustyGem 2 Posted June 6, 2009 Posted June 6, 2009 Not a fan of the backdrop for the monologue. Here is a nice image going around the internet: Heres Conan O Brian's response to the picture
