This was posted on the Victoria Times-Colonist website on Friday, Aug. 28 (Full disclosure: The Times-Colonist is published by Canwest Global)... CHEK TV is closer to fading to black Monday night after Canwest Global Communications announced yesterday an employee-ownership initiative did not meet its guidelines to keep the oldest private station in the province operating. KKyuubi 0 Posted September 5, 2009 Share Posted September 5, 2009 So anyway, the Fall of E! went like this: CHCA and CHEK = gone CHCH and CJNT = sold to Channel Zero, CHCH is now a all-news/movie station, but still uses the unbelievably good branding package they had used before the transition.
