NYNews 54 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv/2009/08/13/2009-08-13_sports_anchor_sam_ryan_leaving_wcbs_channel_2_will_continue_on_nfl_today.html I don't think WCBS has the money to hire Len Berman. Although they did try to lure him away from WNBC a couple of years back. My guess is that Otis gets the spot. Added: It's so weird, but I notice once again, people who get a new picture on their WCBS personality profiles are the ones to leave next.
Geoffrey 873 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 That's a shame... I've always been a fan of Sam. Can they hire back Ducis??
rd7242 0 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 I would love to see them hire sal marchiano. What has sal been up to since pix gave him the boot?
njlady 1 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 They hired Otis Livingston earlier this year I hope he gets the job!
NewsJunkie247 1 Posted August 14, 2009 Posted August 14, 2009 They hired Otis Livingston earlier this year I hope he gets the job! I agree. He's a great sports anchor! He is reporting tonight from the Jets pre-season game.
njlady 1 Posted August 15, 2009 Posted August 15, 2009 the Post is reporting that for the time being Otis Livingston will be handling the sports. http://www.nypost.com/seven/08142009/tv/starr_report_184468.htm
Metropolitan 0 Posted August 18, 2009 Posted August 18, 2009 Sam has changed her mind. She's staying. http://www.examiner.com/blog/printexaminerarticles.cfm?section=examiners&blogtype=examiners§ion=examiners&mode=alias&blogid=5468&blogURL=NY-Media-Examiner&byYear=2009&byMonth=8&byDay=18&byAlias=WCBS-sports-anchor-Sam-Ryan-will-remain-at-the-station
NYNews 54 Posted August 19, 2009 Author Posted August 19, 2009 Looks like she taking a page out of Brett Favre's playbook.
rtmclaug 70 Posted August 19, 2009 Posted August 19, 2009 I'm so glad Sam is staying at WCBS. I always loved her reports on the news. I was shocked when I heard that she was leaving. I wonder if the economy had anything to do with her decision to stay. Either way, it's great that she's staying!
