Vlad 276 Posted December 4, 2009 Share Posted December 4, 2009 ABC 7 (KGO-TV) the ABC O&O in San Francisco, already does this with all of their broadcasts as well as KABC also simulcasts their afternoon newscasts. Years ago, and many , many website designs ago, WABC used to broadcast the news live and leave a week's worth of archived newscasts online. They stopped doing this when concerns arose about music and voiceover royalties for online broadcasts of both the news and the commercials. Then they moved to just cutting up each segment and posting it within the hour after it aired. I guess now ABC O&Os are moving to this standard of live Internet broadcasting. One interesting note -- I watch a the online feed live and it was actually a few seconds ahead of the feed being sent out by Time Warner Cable.
