NYNews 54
Yes, it will Les Moonves says expect similar sites to be released... Not a big fan of the homogenization. Will it be only a TV/Radio relationship, or will some markets include newspapers as well? As for WCBS, the old website was one of the city's best, it was more accessible. That's why out of all the NY station, their website had the most traffic. I think there will be a decrease in user visits. qwertnyc 1
I'm not a fan of the new site, while it looks good, the content appears to be less hard news and more features. In the two days I've visited the site I was greeted by the headlines- "Best Bars in NY" and "NY Flea Markets". If I'm turning to the site for news, especially via the 1010wins url, I'd be sorely disappointed. IceManNYR 240
It's still not as bad as NBCNewYork.com That website is useless. IceManNYR 240
The Beta has been removed from the name but the video still looks awful. kshow 166
CBS 2 has started airing promos promoting CBSNEWYORK.COM. It features people in front of a white backdrop talking about the site. They are dressed in relaxed attire (jeans and t-shirts) and are mixed races... Jess 1115
Doesn't look exactly ready... video isn't working and the "About CBS 2/KCAL 9" link has some WCBS-related stuff. Plus the old sites for both the TV and radio stations are still up. NYNews 54
So basically they copied and pasted and edited it in haste. Jess 1115
I'd guess it's more "beta" site since the old sites are still active. Doesn't seem like much of a copy/paste job. bostonmediaguy 123
The new CBS sites seem to eliminate: - email newsletters - blogs - the Silverlight photo/video file upload manager. Seems like a step backwards in many ways.
