wabceyewitness 818
WABC is still live right now, preempting ABC World News and Jeopardy with an extended edition of Eyewitness News due to the severe weather, storm damage and tornado warnings across the tri-state area. "We will remain on the air as long their is a public safety issue in our area. That is the decision of this television station," Bill Ritter said to viewers just before 7 p.m. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6767-live-storm-coverage/ Share on other sites
RGSJenkins 435
WCBS took a break at 6:30 for the CBS Evening News then they came back at 7, WNBC went non-stop until 7 when they switched to NBC Non-Stop (They're airing NBC Nightly News on 4), WNYW (no WWOR) went until 7, WPIX came at 6:45 and left at 7, WABC just added a ticker at 7:15. (Bill and Liz have not been seen on camera since they came in at 6:01, and ABC World News will air at 7:30) Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/6767-live-storm-coverage/#findComment-61426 Share on other sites

wabceyewitness 818
WABC aired a one minute special at the top of the 8pm hour after the 7:30 broadcast of World News. Caught some of WNBC's coverage, too. Looked great. Glad that WNBC and WABC pushed back their network news programs to stay live with local news while the weather was still a threat. IceManNYR 240
FiOS1 NJ and LI have been covering the storm all night. All of WNBC's live remotes at 11pm were 16:9. Usually some of the live remotes at 4:3 with the taped report in 16:9.
