Poor girl, this story's garnering national attention. Here it is on World News Now, which I found right on the Comcast homepage! At least it wasn't Dorothy Tucker doing the snacking, which is what they had me fearing...

I (along with other Chicago insiders) have seen that video on YouTube for a few weeks now. Nobody around really wanted to make a big deal about it because of that pool girl.. I didn't see it as a big deal because I've seen that kind of stuff in newsrooms many many times with both off air staffer, on-air talent, and even some management. It just happened some CBS 2 News viewers caught it and recorded it.

 

Newsrooms aren't exactly "clean" places and it's always a good idea to keep a bottle of Clorox wipes at your desk. There's even one newsroom in Chicago (which I'll not name) which was always warm and smelled really bad (like a combination of many people's BO) when I was there a couple years ago..

 

 

However, the other day Break featured the video along with Phil Rosenthal featuring it on his blog which caused this to catch national attention. A number of local stations across the country showed it along with ABC WNN. WBBM was fast in getting the video pulled from the internet; however, the video of ABC WNN showing it is what remains online..

The weird thing about this is that she turns toward the camera not once, but TWICE!!!! I'm assuming she noticed that Dorothy was live or, at the very least, live to tape and just didn't care. Really, really nasty...
