NBC Nonstop launch dates

B&C has info on the launch dates of the local Nonstop Channels for the NBC O&O's. There are a few interesting things to note. WVIT in Hartford will be the only station not to have a Nonstop channel, and the California stations (KNBC, KNSD, KNTV) will all share one channel titled California Nonstop. Interesting to note that during this election year, the three stations all contributed to a voting info website, that dealt with California politics.

I wonder if Chicago is having last-minute problems with Nonstop. I've heard October 18th, then October 25th, now it won't launch until November.

November 1 to be exact. Not really any technical problems.. It's more to do with some contractual/agreement dealings having to do with the Roe and Roeper show from WLS 890AM which will be simulcast on NBC Chicago's Nonstop. They rather just hold off on the debut than trying to find some filler for a week or 2.

It will air weekdays from 3-6PM (live 4-6PM; 3-4PM will just be the taped 2-3PM radio hour). Due to Ron Mager's contract, he can't make willful appearances on other network's stations in the market so the whole 3PM hour will just get cut from NBC Nonstop. This will make NBC the 3rd network that the Roe Conn Show is tied to in Chicago. Ron Magers from ABC 7 making his daily appearance, the show's official TV news partner FOX Chicago where Roe Conn stops by to contribute weekly on various newscasts, and now the radio show being simulcast on NBC 5's Nonstop.
