j.wer 12 Posted October 25, 2010 Share Posted October 25, 2010 I'm wondering if Meredith Veira's days are numbered on the Today Show..I have heard the rumors that she wishes to spend more time with her family. I have not seen her on the Today Show in over a week. I don't think it looks good for the show or to her co-workers thats shes still the newbie and she is off so often... And as I've seen, she can't host everyday--so that's why they have guest hosts, one of whom was nighttime host Regis Philbin. What is your point? There is a clause in her Today Show Contract that she can't be on after 9:00am. With that said, I do see NBC going with a change for Viera with someone else in next year or so. I say give Ann Curry a chance to guest host Millionaire as well as Matt Lauer and see how they do. Al Roker did it 5 years ago (Season 5 was when they first did guest hosts, about the same time Meredith's Today Show gig and Katie Couric's CBS Evening News gig began), and some liked him and some didn't.
