Weeters 1969 Posted November 17, 2010 Posted November 17, 2010 OnMilwaukee.com's Tim Cuprisin is reporting that WITI plans on reinstating their weekend morning newscasts nearly two years after suspending them due to the economy. The weekend morning newscasts were suspended on March 28, 2009 (along with weekend early evening newscasts) and will be back sometime in March 2011. When they return, they will run from 6AM to 9AM each day. Previously, the Saturday newscast ran from 7AM to 9AM and the sunday newscast ran from 7AM to 8AM. No word on if the weekend early evening newscasts will return.

Especially since they don't have cartoons on Fox anymore.
trev57 46 Posted March 27, 2011 Posted March 27, 2011 WITI started airing new commercials that say the weekend WakeUp news will return April 2nd.
jero23 105 Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Maybe WBRC in Birmingham will return their early evening newscasts as well. It's bizarre to see a FOX affiliate that news-intensive format that abandons its weekend early evening newscasts in lieu of "Cops"...
