  1. This was lovely to see on WNN this morning, but it also magnified what I've been feeling for a LONG time... that ABC is not devoting much to this broadcast these days. Reena Ninan is pleasant, but not a powerful enough presence to really resonate. And they don't seem to be committing one male anchor to the job permanently. Once upon a time, this was the edgy, outlaw take of the day's news. Now it's just sorta there. I particularly miss the period with Ryan Owens, who was under appreciated during this tenure.

  2. There's just something about him that rubs me the wrong way (and no it's not his presumed sexual orientation). He just comes off as arrogant and an "I'm better than you" attitude. I do admit he did an okay job with Pat during the Pope visit.

  3. CBS 2 just picked up Sandra Torres as a reporter from Wiegel Broadcasting owned CBS affiliate WDJT in Milwaukee where she was lead reporter. She also was a producer and co-anchor for the Weigel owned Telemundo affiliate in Milwaukee WYTU. She has previous experience in Chicago first at WSNS Telemundo Chicago where she was a reporter from 2007-2010 and then as a producer and writer for NBC 5 from 2010-2012 before she moved to Milwaukee. http://chicagoradioandmedia.com/news/7795-cbs-2-hires-sandra-torres-as-reporter

  4. Yeah, the Rob Nelson/Diana Perez combo was pretty much the last "fun" team, in my opinion. Dare I say, the male anchors tend to be a little looser, in recent years, and Reena, though pleasant, only proves my point. Kendis Gibson is pretty good, but he's just not as laid back as T.J.

  5. Hope this one is not right ... http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2015/11/18/shake-up-happening-in-philly There are plenty of capable reporters to choose from if they are looking to promote from within: Todd Quinones, Cleve Bryan, Steve Patterson, and I was going to say Matt Rivers, but he's gone!

  6. Never oversleep when working at the WGN Morning News. You will be outed.

  7. Sonja Gantt is leaving the anchor desk at WCNC and will only be there for special reports. http://www.charlotteobserver.com/entertainment/tv/media-scene-blog/article42246225.html

  8. So I just listened to the new theme, I have to say I absolutely love it. I wish there was some kind of formal open besides a voiceover but it is a really nice theme. They should've at least made a standing section for her.
