  1. 35 years on Today and 65 years overall with NBC. All I can say to that is Happy Trails, Willard.

  2. Because it's market #145 and money isn't flowing through the industry like it used to.

  3. But they can't simulcast Fox NFL games on their stations. It works with ESPN and NFLN because they're on cable. Fox doesn't show games on FS1. If your regional team is playing it's already on the air on local TV in your market.

  4. Because Nexstar. That's why. But FINALLY this is happening. I knew it was only going to be a matter of time after they changed their website to YourBasin.com from PermianBasin360.com, but still, too long. It sounds like they will be changing to "Local Big 2 News" (the articles on the website had been addressed this way for quite some time now, but never on-air). I hope they ditch Indie-Band News and replace it with something else, maybe Evolution? Surprisingly, according to the NMSA, no station in that market has ever used a package with the Spirit signature (although since it is a very small market one of the three stations could have at some point and we wouldn't know)

  5. Rare footage from KFTV Univision 21 circa 2001 featuring Ana Esther Pérez. Some of the graphics seen in the video are much lower quality than other Univision O&Os due to them being in a much smaller DMA . News open can be seen at the end.

  6. XETV News Director Don Shafer is out according to FTVLive and TVSpy. He's been at the station for a little over 2 years. Also from TVSpy, Heather Myers (ex-morning anchor at XETV) is expected to re-join CBS affiliate KFMB. Heather worked at KFMB for several years before moving down the street to XETV to become an anchor. She left the San Diego 6 just a few weeks ago. No word if both departures have anything to do with one another.

  7. 'Fox & Friends' co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck is leaving the network, and, for now, television to spend more time with her family. http://www.adweek.com/tvnewser/elisabeth-hasselbeck-stepping-down-at-fox-news/278202

  8. Well, the fact that it took posting a picture of the studio for anyone to notice tells me...Its not a big deal. It's the weekend show, and they have an rear projection screen that can make it look just like they're in the main studio. Saves a little money, viewers don't notice. Seems like a no-lose scenario for NBC.
