1. As an owner of a black lab and now a lab/shepherd mix ... I am so happy over this. He looks like my dog so much already. As a dog lover, I'm ecstatic. -- Matt

 4. KELO Land Special Report from 1992. I wonder if that theme was ever used as a open. KSTW used it in the late 80s.

 6.
Finally, a clean one minute closing cut of "News '80s" by VTS Productions was added to the NMSA site. I noticed hints of the WWLP-WANE-WLOX theme, which is listed as the "KTVW 1986 News Theme"
@Raymie @ChesapeakeTV @TServo2049 @Ntropolis Tagged a few peeps where we had discussed the WGHP News '80s package back a month or two ago. Found a clip earlier today from WLOX in 1984 that features the News '80s theme off and on for the first couple of minutes, starting at :28 seconds in. I don't think the first track before 28 secs is related. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DP30snibz7s So, this puts WLOX using the package at least as early as 84 through the early 90's,which they followed with the "Jazzy" mixed cut of "Full Potential" from Network Music. Anywhoooo, this shows the theme that WLOX-WANE-WWLP-KTVW-WEVU used was a part of the overall WGHP package or an update to it. One thing is for sure - - it's definitely VTS, not that there was much doubt by anyone... :)

 8. Speaking of O&Os, how is CBS the most watched network if most of their O&Os aren't #1 or even #2? Is it because people don't watch those O&Os for news, but rather for the shows and NFL games?

 10. I guess that depends on who you ask. Abilene is indeed a bigger market, but the competition has been around quite a long time. If you ask me, this is something that should have happened years down the road. I personally do not think this format will last. As for San Angelo...KIDY has made strides with the audience there and is the only station that provides local news in HD. That alone is a reason that people have switched. KLST and KSAN have been getting a run for their money and it shows. It boggles my mind that they put aside a product that has been working since the operation started 2 1/2 years ago in favor for trying to be local in a market where they truly are not.
