  1. I don't see the point of the 3 anchor format. Michael is not a broadcast journalist. He is a former football player who just happens to be good hosting talk shows and game shows. This morning, Robin barely said a word for 10 minutes during the 7am A Block. She had a few lines during the open, but, that was about it. If they wanted a 3rd anchor, I don't understand why they didn't promote Amy. She is 200x times better. GMA better be careful. One slip-up and it could be back to #2. Today is catching up after the Ann Curry saga of 2012.

  2. Umm no. An equal share was earned post-2000. He's burned bridges at ESPN, FSN, MSNBC, and CurrentTV. It's obvious HE is the problem. I think other's critiques of him are right on. ESPN was right to move on, and MSNBC would be stupid to give him another chance.

  3. KXnet is so much sexier.

  4. Yeah, it wasn't ready yesterday. Funny thing is, the "relaunch" (without the new set), was really not much different than normal, except for Michael sitting at the desk. No significant format changes on what was supposed to be a new day.

  5. Second floor set is a replica of the first floor with all the wood but looks pretty nice.

  6. Well, it's official. Juliet Huddy is out at Fox 5. Teresa Priolo and Kerry Drew anchored GDWU this morning, and Juliet came on at 6:55 to give a nice goodbye. I am really sorry to see her go, but happy that Fox 5 let her say goodbye on air.

  7. The former head of the New York chapter of NOW posted a long video of several interviews she did on Albany TV in 1997. The quality varies but some gems are in there. 0:00-1:10 has an interesting use of Prime News (on the Sunday interview/live music{!!} program "See, Hear") and a WNYT promo. Sadly the video and audio are choppy. 16:50-20:20 has a WRGB report on a contingent to a Promise Keepers rally in DD, and a good example of their final image using Making a Difference. 22:25-24:10 has a very odd WRGB transition, a clipped WNYT intro, a good example of WNYT's 1994-97 image, and their backdrop when it looked cool. 24:10-31:53 is from several months later with WRGB and WNYT (post-switch to NBC Stations) coverage on the Marv Albert trial.

  8. Yeah his rant about Lotche was the first time I found myself enjoying Roker's presence in some time. Still he needs to be shown the door, what's up with him and Lauer hanging on for so long? It's been about 20 years for both of them in their positions on the program.

  9. Al was 100% correct.. Al's view represented what America was thinking.. Its a shame NBC wanted him to apologise for saying the truth (even though it went against their brand)

  10. Roker's past his prime, and maybe his demeanor wasn't the most appropriate, but he's 100% right in the Lochte commentary. NBC's probably only mad because his rant wasn't "on message" for their olympic brand, and thats not right, either.
