  3. I will chime in and note that WCAU was pretty much blown up in the past five years as well. They brought in a ton of younger talent and market newcomers. The difference is that Comcast is willing to invest in the station. Obviously the biggest sign of their investment happened this week with the big move, but they're bringing in talent left and right and for the most part keeping them. Jim Rosenfield, Jacqueline London, Keith Jones, et al have been with the station for five years at this point and all look like they're becoming station cornerstones. Plus they made smart talent moves when it counted - Vai's move from sports has turned out to be very successful, whereas the Jim Donovan experiment in mornings has been disastrous. And let's not forget Fox 29. They have their own problems, but look at the talent they have. Bob Kelly, Sue Serio, Kathy Orr, Dawn Timmeney are all homegrown, be it at Fox or outside of the station, and Lucy Noland gets significant social media exposure on my feed thanks to her animal activism. CBS 3 just does not have that. They have Ukee. That's it. If they weren't doing the weather reports on 1060 they would be even more anonymous.

  4. And Kathie Lee and Hoda are giving her thanks for the free studio remodeling with audience they'll be moved into permanently within the month. There's nothing dumber than having your network make this large capital and resource outlay for you and you somehow screw it up.

  7. It’s about time Al Roker leaves as well. So funny to me how hypocritical they’re all being over a simple mistake. This the same bunch who sat and let Matt literally rape and berate women with no issue, but now a mistake by Kelly has them out with pitchforks.

  9. Some KDNL material from 1996, including a promo that must have been used since the start of the affiliation (you will see why):

  11. Whoever hired her in the first place should be ashamed of himself.....

  12. Megyn Kelly never belonged on morning tv. She was a cable news attack dog known for her confrontational style and opinion. She never would have been welcomed by NBC News or MSNBC viewers due to her FNC baggage. If she wanted out of the FNC toxic culture so badly she should have gone to CNN. Her style would have been better received and she could have shed the Fox News bagged like Alisyn Camerota has. Heck she probably would have been a perfect Nancy Grace replacement at HLN.

  13. With Rosemary, she deserved to be promoted to a weekday newscast for some time now. I was hoping she or Denise would become Keith's co-anchor at 5 before they hired Erin. I'm not sure if she's been reporting in the 4-6 PM news block, but that was on my mind when Rosemary began anchoring the 11AM. I think the reason why Keith and Erin only anchor the 5 and not the 11AM newscasts is both contribute as reporters (I'm sure about Keith, but don't know about Erin) for the 11PM newscasts.

  14. In a stronger position she might have lasted the rest of the TV season. But when you have stations free to move her to 10am because "Kelly" and local advertorials do much better at 9am and your only buzz is to continually screw up in interviews and panels rather than content merit...that's the kind of 'bad PR is still good PR' you really don't want going forward.
