  1. Those gfx look hot for CBS 19 ... But since it’s Flashback Friday ... let’s go to one of the best news promos ever. Seriously. Lol — Matt

  2. Well, I found what the main non-newscast logo will look like. And here's more of the upcoming graphics in action.

  4. It also looks like its going back to WOIO's first-ever branding... 19 News because Gray realized what Raycom and Scripps (KMGH) didn't... that having a city name in a newscast title is stupid.

  5. Logo: Impressive. Graphics: Amazing. Overall, quite the visual improvement for WOIO.

  6. Dang! Not too shabby! There may actually be some hope for WOIO!

  7. Another DFW Veteran broadcaster is hanging up the mic. Longtime KDFW FOX 4 anchor/reporter Richard Ray is retiring on May 1st, but his last on-air newscast will be Sunday, April 21st (Easter Sunday). Richard has been in broadcasting for nearly 50 years; 36 years at KDFW. We wish Richard Ray all the very best. (In a subsequent tweet to unclebarky.com, Ray said he’s just been informed that Fox4 has added a May 1st sendoff during the 9 p.m. newscast “and maybe more. KDFW TV & Dallas/Fort Worth have been good to me.”)

  8. Welcome back! You were gone for so long I had thought NBC threw you in jail after terminating the old account. I was about to make a whole thread begging you to return, but instead of on YT, as a website (ala FuzzyMemories and TCMediaNow).

  9. Oh thank you, I missed your stuff so much.

  10. They probably shouldn't have led their statement with more slang - but the takeaway of that article comes from the teachers who wrote the station: "I personally would like to say thank you to you and the rest of the anchors at your television station for having the courage to stand up and do something that teachers have been doing for years." Yep. Anyone who has ever attended a pep rally can attest to that. Like I said earlier, folks are too hasty to judge. And I totally disagree with Scott Jones/FTVLive on his continued ridicule. I think the Toledo Blade does a nice job summing this up - and alluding to a larger concern in the "Twitterverse": https://www.toledoblade.com/a-e/culture/2019/03/28/twitter-twits-ruin-fun-wtol-video-kirk-baird-commentary/stories/20190328141

  11. In memory of David Horowitz, who died earlier this week at age 81: Here’s a full episode of his show “Fight Back!” from 1992 (near the end of its run); it started as a local show called “California Buyline” on KNBC in 1976 and then “Consumer Buyline” before going national in 1980.
