More weekend changes. The Weekend: Primetime airs its final episode this Saturday (June 27th) and video podcasts from Crooked Media will take over weekend evenings. Also, Alex Witt will leave MS NOW later this year.

This would probably be confined to the West Coast O&Os, as it would interfere with 4pm and 5pm newscasts for the Central and East Coast O&Os. I expect a lot of O&Os to air a second hour of NBC News Daily.

WFLD is already local from 4:30am-1pm with Good Day Chicago, the simulcast of Chicago Now from Fox Local Chicago and their noon newscast.

Seems like a lot of affiliates are flipping early due to the Memorial Day holiday. They know a low-listenership period is coming over the next four days, so they probably want listeners aware of the changes now. You’ll probably have to search around for a stream of an affiliate that plans to see it to the end tomorrow. Also, KNX, KMOX, KCBS and WTIC have all flipped to ABC this afternoon/evening.
