  1. KTVT is replacing their 9am newscast with a full hour of Drew Barrymore starting Monday. The newscast will move to 7am on KTXA the same day.
  2. After years of resistance post-Oprah, KVUE is finally launching a 4pm in September. No word on where Inside Edition and Extra will move to in Austin yet, but my money says both shows replace DBL at 3pm.
  3. WBRC has finally debuted GrayONE on TV.
  4. WGNO sports director Ed Daniels has passed away. He was 67.
  5. WLNY, KCAL and WCIU are picking up The Flip Side. September 9th premiere date.
  6. WBRC has joined the GrayONE club.
  7. GMA3 is now using the standard GMA L3s.

  13. The New Orleans Pelicans are leaving Bally for Gray/WVUE.
  14. After years of being on the old Fox O&O set, KDFW is moving out of Downtown Dallas and to a new building in Irving. The project is expected to be complete in 2026.

  19. KOVR right next door in Sacramento still has early prime and a 10pm newscast, with much success.
  20. CBS has released their booths for this coming season. No big surprises:
  21. Effective Monday July 29, KDFW is moving Judge Judy to 3pm in favor of a new 4pm newscast. They are also launching a 6:30pm newscast that same day, moving TMZ to 11:30pm.
  22. As of today, CBS 2 News has now given way to CBS News New York.
  23. In a shocking development, WBD has matched one of the bids.
  24. KDBC/KFOX in El Paso are ending most local newscasts. The former’s 10pm is staying for now along with some simulcasts of KFOX’s newscasts on KDBC.
