NBC Sports Chicago will shut down on September 30th. -
The third hour of Mornings is optional. It will primarily be on CBS News 24/7 with a few affiliates carrying it. The 9am was recently expanded to an hour on TV and isn’t going anywhere.

KTXA is acquiring Tamron Hall (sister station KTVT aired the show’s first season) from KDAF September 2nd at 8am, after the KTVT-produced 7am newscast. It was previously slotted by 48 Hours.

KTVT, WBZ, and WCBS are all dumping their 9ams for Drew. Meanwhile, everyone who’s keeping their 9ams (WFOR, KPIX, KCNC, KYW and WBBM) are extending or have already extended them to one hour while airing Drew at 2pm or 3pm. Not counting WCCO and WJZ as they already had pre-existing 9am newscasts.

KTVT is replacing their 9am newscast with a full hour of Drew Barrymore starting Monday. The newscast will move to 7am on KTXA the same day.

After years of resistance post-Oprah, KVUE is finally launching a 4pm in September. No word on where Inside Edition and Extra will move to in Austin yet, but my money says both shows replace DBL at 3pm.

After years of being on the old Fox O&O set, KDFW is moving out of Downtown Dallas and to a new building in Irving. The project is expected to be complete in 2026.
