  1. I'm going to guess it's a contingency open to run Philly and Pittsburgh if KDKA has to shut down due to the virus now that Pittsburgh is slowly getting out of lockdown. Have to believe a similar open exists at KDKA in case of vice-versa.

  2. Most stations felt a little more stripped down last night. Brant Miller was still at home, and it sounded like it. ABC 7 had no lower thirds or ticker, and while in studio, Cheryl Scott never appeared on-screen. Everything right now is still a little bit of a work in progress, but for a midnight shift in a short-staffed setting, everybody got the job done.

  3. Probably not because WCAU already has Steve Kramer for their voice-over work.

  4. Technology is quite amazing. At a station I used to work at, we had the ability to have the weather anchor cut into programming without anyone else being in the building. There was a setup in the weather center where all you had to do was push a singular button and the weather computer and the specific mic were put on air. Then, push the same button and we're back to regular scheduled programming. It wasn't fancy, but it prevented having to call a bunch of people in for severe weather at off times. Mind you, this wasn't market #3.

  5. Seeing Philly & Pittsburgh teaming up for anything is just weird.

  7. Of course you have I wish more stations would use the package. It looks good and seems easy to utilize. Simple & easy way to give a stations brand into that of CBS.

  8. Longtime anchor of Salt Lake City's CBS 2 News (KUTV) is out of the job. Shauna Lake has been fired from KUTV after her 2nd DUI arrest. https://www.sltrib.com/artsliving/2020/05/14/scott-d-pierce-kutv-fires/
