  2. Regardless if they are leaving the business.. half a dozen reporters have left on their own in the last six months. Walking away from a Top 5 reporter job, means something there sucks. WPVI hasnt had a single reporter leave in like 5 years.

  3. That's because he wants much of the viewership to be from the always dwindling ammount of cable subscribers. Basically, he's acting like Randy Marsh in that South Park episode when he bought the town's Blockbuster store....

  4. Nah, WCAU needs something fresh at this point. The mix of 360 for the teases and LA Groove for everything else isn't cutting it for me.

  6. Sad news from WABC-TV News Director Rehan Aslam — he announced publicly today doctors recently removed a tumor from his head. The pathology report determined that is a glioblastoma, a very aggressive type of brain cancer. He continues treatment later this week at Sloan Kettering. Aslam just joined WABC-TV in May of this year as VP & News Director after six years in management positions at sister station KTRK-TV in Houston.

  7. Perhaps that’s the future of WNBC having people anchor newscasts alone. Viewership isn’t what it’s supposed to be and the days of views getting used to teams like Chuck, Sue, Janice and Len I think are basically over. I don’t think you need two anchors at 11pm as it’s only a 35 minute newscast.
