  1. I am so mad. I don’t understand why you have a network named NewsNation which brags about the newsrooms you have across the country and be showing syndicated programming during one of the worst storms to hit LA. They literally have more reporters on the ground versus any network. Use them. Do affiliate coverage. Jesus. It’s not hard. This doesn’t help your cause.

  2. Yeah, it's gonna be rough enough when each station starts adopting it, and 200 stations get individual posts on here. There is NO need to announce that a station has NOT yet made the change. Those posts will be hidden, and repeated infractions could be treated like spam.

  3. There'd be lots of complaints if they interrupt Blue Bloods or Last Man Standing, even though they're reruns.

  5. Found this August 1984 newscast from WBNS in Columbus Also found it interesting that the newscast included a story on the Columbus-based Cranston Csuri effects firm handling the CGI intro at the start of the film for the Republican National Convention prior to President Reagan's acceptance speech at that convention in Dallas (and the anchor struggling to mask disappointment that CBS didn't show the film or at least the beginning)

  6. Frankly, I think they're afraid to cut ties with the loyal viewers of Blue Bloods and Last Man Standing, as they get higher ratings and ad revenue than the news!

  7. WPLG & WSVN 80'S News Bloopers. (Just for the record if you thought '89s we didn't write the headlines was hilarious, just listen to the WSVN 7 on your side parody)

  8. WSMV Scene News clip from the summer of 1990 on TV DXing, with WSMV engineer Tom Bryant (who was/is a long-time WTFDA member). Carole Simpson anchors the first 7 minutes of ABC World News Sunday on 4/14/1996, taped from KMGH Denver. No audio on one side, this was in that brief period in between audio splitters on my Betamax VCR.

  11. Every big network logo refresh, Wikipedia gets folks who have to be 'first' to update a logo...and then upload terrible 'point at 80s TV' screenshots, fakes, or tiny 40px versions of the 'new logo' that nobody can really use, or Logopedia-sourced garbage from those false television station wikis that think WNBC was founded by Sony or something. Trying to say 'no, ABC isn't going to revoke an affiliation because a station didn't update their logo' is like taking to a wall with them.

  14. I'm sad to announce that legendary EMMY award winning actor Edward Asner, the man that played tv news director turned newspaper editor Lou Grant on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and his own spinoff series "Lou Grant" has passed away of natural causes. Asner was 91 years old. https://tvline.com/2021/08/29/ed-asner-dead-mary-tyler-moore-show-lou-grant/
