I think you are speculating here. I saw the Instagram photo, which showed her reporting in front of Radio City, and interpreted it as the photo was being posted a few days after it was taken, as in “last week.” And she was just tagging @cbsnewyork. As far as anchoring CBS News overnight, it’s the week between Christmas and New Year’s Day, so my guess is many regular staffers are off and CBS News tapped WCBS for a fill in. I could be wrong, but until and unless we get confirmation from Alice or CBS, I would not assume anything.

What has she ever done to justify being fired? I have said before and will say again, what is it that some people have against her? She may not be the 'greatest anchor that has ever lived', she is hardly the worse that has (or will ever) grace the Chicago airwaves. Her and Alan have good chemistry and on a personal level; she was very nice the two times I met her (which is often not the case with meeting news people). It's fair to debate the way she presents the news and such, but outside of that, there's zero reason to dog her as many often do for no reason.

CBS and FOX are going to pay tribute to John Madden on The NFL Today and FOX NFL Sunday this weekend.

I noticed on the channel guide this Friday that since Miley Cyrus' New Years Eve show will be uninterrupted from 10:30pm-12:30am... News 4 NY will go on at 10pm. I've never seen that before. I'm assuming most if not all NBC stations are doing this?

On New Year’s Day, ewjxn is going to upload a full February 1983 newscast from WTSP.

Sad news from the NFL world. The great John Madden has passed away earlier today at the age of 85.
