  1. Outside CBS, you just need Paramount+ because of all the repeats on their channels, and if there's a customer that'll walk because you lost MTV2 and Spongebobnet....I mean Nicktoons, they're beyond help.

  2. There was that episode back in 2008, IIRC, where they hired another meteorologist to tag team the weather with Jym. It was a huge mistake. He certainly went through ups and downs at WCMH. A great man indeed.

  3. Google has always been a good "cable" operator. They told Diamond to take a hike with their RSNs and have had relatively few disruptions. The only notable one I can recall was the Disney one in 2021 that took down their channels for a day or two.

  4. CBS clearly asking Google to bail them out of their debts and Google is telling them to take a hike. Probably the first time in a while I'll side with Google here

  6. Am I serious about what? I was unaware that Tamron Hall relocated to the new studio. Everybody doesn’t know everything, and thank you for informing me. There’s a more polite way that you could have informed me of that, instead of your usual sarcasm. Again, If you’re going to respond to anything I post check your tone first. I always reply to people respectfully on this thread, give me the same courtesy. You aside, the new studios are terrific so far. The lighting on The View also looks very good. Hoping the upcoming WABC set is just as great.

  9. A major loss for sure and one of the legends of the Columbus TV market. I still think he was pushed out at WCMH and his return to TV was as soon as he was able to. One of the many reasons ABC 6 & FOX 28 have become the new stations of record after NBC4 and 10TV's missteps and selling out to the highest bidder.

  10. Columbus weather legend Jym Ganahl has passed at 76. He came to WCMH in 1979 from KWWL, one of the youngest TV meteorologists in the nation. He 'retired" from WCMH in 2016. After a year, he returned to the air on WSYX/WTTE, retiring last year. This is a huge loss. His 'weather lore' was the best. RIP Jym.
