  1. Especially in Las Vegas where the Golden Knights play & whose ABC affiliate (KTNV) is owned by Scripps. At least since this isn't a direct dispute between DIRECTV & Disney, folks in affected areas can obviously watch OTA, but also on the ESPN app.
  2. Clearly, WOOD emphasizing temperature more than time!!
  3. KPNX has their building in Downtown Phoenix (one of 2 stations that call DTPHX home along with KSAZ) on Van Buren & N 2nd St. which was shared by the Arizona Republic newspaper before they moved last year to Midtown. That area could soon become a hotspot with development taking shape around there & the Central Avenue area couple of blocks to the West where the light rail is.
  4. And according to this from one of their sports anchors (Sports Central), they'll keep the Chargers rights as well. I'd expect the preseason game between the two to air on KCBS & KCAL. Something important to note here, CBS produces the Chargers preseason games, while the Rams are in-house with the Kroenke's.
  5. Interesting seeing this especially since ABTV is going to be the network for L.A. Kings hockey (his other hosting gig) going forward as well. And the fact they're replacing him with radio guy Trent Rush & yet for road games, just keep the rest of the radio crew in Anaheim is ridiculous. Arte Moreno might as well send them on the road with the RSN now under their control.
  6. Probably random, I mean here in AZ, KNXV/Phoenix got the new graphics package last month, but KGUN/Tucson is still on the old Scripps graphics.
  7. Three, if you count KLAA 830 out of Anaheim, broadcast home of the Angels, although most of the sports talk stuff is syndicated.
  8. I'd expect FM simulcasts of Rams games to be on 97.1 next season.
  9. With this, they'll be Steeler connections all day Sunday this Fall with Bill Cowher on CBS, Terry Bradshaw on FOX, & now Mike Tomlin on NBC, wonder if someone (Jason Garrett perhaps) is getting the boot or is it an add-on.
  10. Yup here in Phoenix too on KPAX (TBN) 21.2 subchannel, & there's another infomercial loop subchannel on 21.4 with TBN Inspire sandwiched between them.
  11. Good thing they aren't the top news station in Hawaii with that honor going to Gray with KGMB/KHNL Hawaii News Now.
  12. In addition to being Chief Meteorolgist for Eyewitness News, as of yesterday, Lee Goldberg is also a senior Met for ABC which comes as no surprise considering he's made appearances frequently on World News Tonight whenever weather's a major story. Interesting timing alongside Leslie Lopez, meteorologist for West Coast ABC flagship KABC in Los Angeles joining the network in NYC on Friday.
  13. Of course if that were the case, it wouldn't be as significant a deal as this considering it's from their flagship WABC, & ABC News tends to have ppl there contributing from time to time there including Chief Meteorologist Lee Goldberg, who btw, is also officially a part of ABC News as of Tuesday, which is no surprise considering he's popped up frequently recently on World News Tonight whenever they bring up weather.
  14. Might as well CBS just give late night to the affiliates to fill time if this was what they were planning on as replacement programming.
  15. Yeah, it's one thing if a station declines to airing a network piece concerning a nat'l/world story during a newscast for taking a report from CNN Newsource or from their own news group which can happen ocassionally for non-O&O stations, but not showing network SRs is another story.
