Sad day for WABC as Bill Ritter is expected to announce today he'll step down from the anchor chair at Eyewitness News citing health. Filled the big shoes of the legendary Bill Beutel (RIP) well & pretty much the last of the well-known guard amongst NYC news anchors as pretty much elsewhere on the dial, hardly much notoriety or gravitas amongst what's out there. Big changes for Altitude Sports next season on the Nuggets broadcasts with PBP voice Chris Marlowe & analyst Scott Hastings out. Hastings will still be around keeping his 2nd gig as a host on Altitude Sports Radio 92.5's Polumbus, Hastings, and Dmac early afternoon weekday show from Noon-3 MT. FOX 11 finally has their worthy replacement for Elex Michaelson to work alongside Christine.

Yes, they did, simulcasting from FanDuel Sports Sun. This new deal is for games to air exclusively on WPLG in Miami, I'd expect a broadcast deal to be done at least in West Palm Beach in the not-too-distant future.

For the NBA Finals, WABC milking it to the fullest they're showing the Knicks, having "Knicks Win" graphic in their news opens at 11 last night & this morning as well.

Especially in Las Vegas where the Golden Knights play & whose ABC affiliate (KTNV) is owned by Scripps. At least since this isn't a direct dispute between DIRECTV & Disney, folks in affected areas can obviously watch OTA, but also on the ESPN app.

KPNX has their building in Downtown Phoenix (one of 2 stations that call DTPHX home along with KSAZ) on Van Buren & N 2nd St. which was shared by the Arizona Republic newspaper before they moved last year to Midtown. That area could soon become a hotspot with development taking shape around there & the Central Avenue area couple of blocks to the West where the light rail is.

And according to this from one of their sports anchors (Sports Central), they'll keep the Chargers rights as well. I'd expect the preseason game between the two to air on KCBS & KCAL. Something important to note here, CBS produces the Chargers preseason games, while the Rams are in-house with the Kroenke's.

Interesting seeing this especially since ABTV is going to be the network for L.A. Kings hockey (his other hosting gig) going forward as well. And the fact they're replacing him with radio guy Trent Rush & yet for road games, just keep the rest of the radio crew in Anaheim is ridiculous. Arte Moreno might as well send them on the road with the RSN now under their control.

Probably random, I mean here in AZ, KNXV/Phoenix got the new graphics package last month, but KGUN/Tucson is still on the old Scripps graphics.

Three, if you count KLAA 830 out of Anaheim, broadcast home of the Angels, although most of the sports talk stuff is syndicated.

I'd expect FM simulcasts of Rams games to be on 97.1 next season.
