  1. KABC/KGO wish they could get this "Circle 7" variant back!!!!
  2. Posted this in the WABC thread, but thought I'd post here too knowing he's done nat'l work in the past for ABC, but Bill Ritter is stepping down as Eyewitness News anchor tonight after the 6pm news citing health. https://nypost.com/2026/06/12/media/abc-new-york-anchor-bill-ritter-to-retire-due-to-health-issue-sources/
  3. Sad day for WABC as Bill Ritter is expected to announce today he'll step down from the anchor chair at Eyewitness News citing health. Filled the big shoes of the legendary Bill Beutel (RIP) well & pretty much the last of the well-known guard amongst NYC news anchors as pretty much elsewhere on the dial, hardly much notoriety or gravitas amongst what's out there. All the best, Bill!! https://nypost.com/2026/06/12/media/abc-new-york-anchor-bill-ritter-to-retire-due-to-health-issue-sources/
  4. Big changes for Altitude Sports next season on the Nuggets broadcasts with PBP voice Chris Marlowe & analyst Scott Hastings out. Hastings will still be around keeping his 2nd gig as a host on Altitude Sports Radio 92.5's Polumbus, Hastings, and Dmac early afternoon weekday show from Noon-3 MT. Katy Winge & studio host Vic Lombardi will stay, wouldn't be surprised if Katy becomes a full-time game analyst. https://www.denverpost.com/2026/06/10/nuggets-broadcast-chris-marlowe-scott-hastings-fired/
  5. FOX 11 finally has their worthy replacement for Elex Michaelson to work alongside Christine.
  6. Yes, they did, simulcasting from FanDuel Sports Sun. This new deal is for games to air exclusively on WPLG in Miami, I'd expect a broadcast deal to be done at least in West Palm Beach in the not-too-distant future.
  7. For the NBA Finals, WABC milking it to the fullest they're showing the Knicks, having "Knicks Win" graphic in their news opens at 11 last night & this morning as well.
  8. Especially in Las Vegas where the Golden Knights play & whose ABC affiliate (KTNV) is owned by Scripps. At least since this isn't a direct dispute between DIRECTV & Disney, folks in affected areas can obviously watch OTA, but also on the ESPN app.
  9. Clearly, WOOD emphasizing temperature more than time!!
  10. KPNX has their building in Downtown Phoenix (one of 2 stations that call DTPHX home along with KSAZ) on Van Buren & N 2nd St. which was shared by the Arizona Republic newspaper before they moved last year to Midtown. That area could soon become a hotspot with development taking shape around there & the Central Avenue area couple of blocks to the West where the light rail is.
  11. And according to this from one of their sports anchors (Sports Central), they'll keep the Chargers rights as well. I'd expect the preseason game between the two to air on KCBS & KCAL. Something important to note here, CBS produces the Chargers preseason games, while the Rams are in-house with the Kroenke's.
  12. Interesting seeing this especially since ABTV is going to be the network for L.A. Kings hockey (his other hosting gig) going forward as well. And the fact they're replacing him with radio guy Trent Rush & yet for road games, just keep the rest of the radio crew in Anaheim is ridiculous. Arte Moreno might as well send them on the road with the RSN now under their control.
  13. Probably random, I mean here in AZ, KNXV/Phoenix got the new graphics package last month, but KGUN/Tucson is still on the old Scripps graphics.
  14. Three, if you count KLAA 830 out of Anaheim, broadcast home of the Angels, although most of the sports talk stuff is syndicated.
  15. I'd expect FM simulcasts of Rams games to be on 97.1 next season.
  16. With this, they'll be Steeler connections all day Sunday this Fall with Bill Cowher on CBS, Terry Bradshaw on FOX, & now Mike Tomlin on NBC, wonder if someone (Jason Garrett perhaps) is getting the boot or is it an add-on.
  17. Yup here in Phoenix too on KPAX (TBN) 21.2 subchannel, & there's another infomercial loop subchannel on 21.4 with TBN Inspire sandwiched between them.
  18. Good thing they aren't the top news station in Hawaii with that honor going to Gray with KGMB/KHNL Hawaii News Now.
  19. In addition to being Chief Meteorolgist for Eyewitness News, as of yesterday, Lee Goldberg is also a senior Met for ABC which comes as no surprise considering he's made appearances frequently on World News Tonight whenever weather's a major story. Interesting timing alongside Leslie Lopez, meteorologist for West Coast ABC flagship KABC in Los Angeles joining the network in NYC on Friday.
  20. Of course if that were the case, it wouldn't be as significant a deal as this considering it's from their flagship WABC, & ABC News tends to have ppl there contributing from time to time there including Chief Meteorologist Lee Goldberg, who btw, is also officially a part of ABC News as of Tuesday, which is no surprise considering he's popped up frequently recently on World News Tonight whenever they bring up weather.
  21. Might as well CBS just give late night to the affiliates to fill time if this was what they were planning on as replacement programming.
  22. Yeah, it's one thing if a station declines to airing a network piece concerning a nat'l/world story during a newscast for taking a report from CNN Newsource or from their own news group which can happen ocassionally for non-O&O stations, but not showing network SRs is another story.
  23. Had a feeling this was coming seeing promos using this graphics template on Oscar night a few weeks back & perfect timing too with the NCAA Women's Final Four in Phoenix this weekend & ABC airing the Nat'l Championship game on Easter Sunday. Unlike the graphics change at another ABC affiliate in the host city of the Men's Final Four, WRTV (Indianapolis), because of the dumbness of CCB to gut out everything Scripps had there, this change is a welcome one. Also, who would've thunk it that we'd get this before Gray One for Arizona's Family KPHO (CBS)/KTVK, which is crazy IMO with seemingly most every other Gray station on it, you'd think with us now perhaps the biggest market they got with a Big 4 affiliation with WANF in Atlanta bolting CBS last year, they'd update 3TV/CBS5 ASAP, not to mention in-state sister station KOLD (CBS/Tucson) has Gray One.
  24. If social media feedback to this is any indication, expect NESN to revise their scorebug & make it smaller, it's at least looking at it on my big screen TV about 2 inches tall & just as hugly long wide. Everything else with this graphics element is fine. We'll see Saturday if sister RSN, Sportsnet Pittsburgh, shows this for Pirates games.
  25. Yeah, was hoping for something similar to FOX & NBC's other properties where the scorebar is on the bottom of the screen, but this'll do, & I'm glad they went to a revised version of the previous NBC RSN MLB scorebar with the team logos as oppose to the recent refresh with the ridiculous font we see in Philly & Bay Area/CA. Also, here's the Home Run graphic which we unfortunately didn't see Netflix's version last night.
