  1. An unfortunate circumstance happened earlier today where KTLA's Twitter/X account accidentally put out the N-word due to a "technical error" which they apologized for. They were blocking ppl for a time after it was posted just for mentioning that it was a "technical error"
  2. Don't be surprised if out of retaliation for this, CBS doesn't renew the contracts for the 2 game shows in the O&O markets that air it in Boston, Dallas, & Minneapolis/St. Paul.
  3. I know WPLG also has correspondents in Washington as well as Havana, Cuba.
  4. WBFS (CW/Miami) will be airing 15 Miami Marlins games, mainly Fridays, with a few Sundays sprinkled in.
  5. Airing it in primetime wouldn't be unprecedented, they do that here in Phoenix (KTVK). It feels kinda awkward when it airs at the same time ABC airs a special episode for the network at the same time.
  6. Seattle Mariners, despite still being on an RSN (Root Sports NW), they're using MLB graphics.
  7. In addition to the D'backs, TEGNA has also secured rights to simulcast 10 games in local markets for the Colorado Rockies (KUSA/NBC Denver) & San Diego Padres (KFMB/CBS & CW on 8.2) https://www.9news.com/article/sports/mlb/colorado-rockies/watch-colorado-rockies-games-9news-ktvd/73-ddbcf589-9f61-443e-9ebc-4edb92f1fd3f https://www.cbs8.com/article/sports/mlb/padres/cbs-8-and-cw-san-diego-broadcast-padres-games-2025/509-ffaa3f54-ce7c-4b81-9bb4-ca3362865ec6
  8. Here in Phoenix, KPHO airs following After Midnight a rebroadcast of Arizona's Family Extra Point which is a nightly sports show that airs on sister indy station KTVK & Arizona's Family Sports at 10:30.
  9. Hehehehe, it ain't even breaking news!!!! Notice too the ticker has the station logo, wonder if affiliates can program the ticker to a point where the logo's insterted in instead of the ABC News bug or if this ticker is a varient that the local ABC affiliate is using.
  10. This season will be the last for Bob Carpenter as the TV voice of the Washington Nationals & also the end, in all likelihood, of a great sports broadcasting career. He was the first host of ESPN's College Gameday & did other stuff for them & also was a voice for the St. Louis Cardinals. https://www.masnsports.com/blog/carpenter-reveals-this-will-be-final-season-as-nats-lead-announcer
  11. Have a feeling when ABC's aboard, WSVN, when it comes to their newscasts, might be a bit more judicial when it comes to nat'l stories mixing in ABC along with CNN moreso than currently constitued btn. FOX & CNN. Also with this affiliation change, Miami joins Phoenix (KTVK) having both Jeopardy! & WoF on a non-network affiliated/independent station.
  12. Shouldn't be too hard to find a channel for ABC Miami the way the TV dial is down there (unless a provider in the northern portion of the area also gets channels from WPB).
  13. WSVN will be the new ABC affiliate carrying it on 7.2 while maintining FOX on the main 7.1 channel.
  14. Yes, KTVN in Reno, NV did this first. Good to see WDJT rebrand their news to the market they cover unlike other CBS O&O's that just lazily brand to the state they're in.
  15. The Rangers Sports Network made its debut broadcast on Wednesday. Here's the broadcast intro & the scorebar graphics....
  16. More like the 2008 Chargers/Bills game where the power went out & CBS missed loads of action since Chiefs/Jaguars 2019 Week 1 happened when the game was winding down around the 2-minute warning. ESPN/ABC lucked out in the fact that Auburn dominated the 2nd half & it wasn't an exciting, close game at the end. Turned out to have an effect on the game as the refs weren't able to do a replay review on one play, although I'm sure they could've also considered maybe taking video from the arena itself with the jumbotron. I'm sure hockey fans were happy considering if it weren't for this technical issue, they'd probably be scrambling their remotes looking for ESPNEWS to see the start of Bruins/Penguins because AUB/UK dragged out.
  17. Yup, noticed that too watching KNXV's 10pm news tonight which they've branded Arizona Tonight despite it not being mentioned in the listings as that just ABC 15 News at 10PM, although I know this rebranding is also taking place elsewhere around Scripps like WFTS (ABC/Tampa Bay). 20250226_221329.mp4
  18. White Sox scorebug now that they're on the Chicago Sports Network.
  19. Al Trautwig, longtime pre-and-postgame host for MSG Network as well myriods of other sports work nationally has passed away at the age of 68. https://nypost.com/2025/02/24/sports/al-trautwig-longtime-voice-of-msg-network-dead-at-68/
  20. A lil BTS screenshot from an ABC News report earlier today showing what appears to be the new newsroom the network will be working from, looks like shades out of FOX News with the revolving TV stand above.
  21. SNY will be offering a DTC package in the Mets broadcast territory for the upcoming baseball season & will stream full-time on the MLB app, ditching its own app in the process. It'll go for $24.99/mo, $124.99/season, or $149.99/year. https://www.mlb.com/live-stream-games/subscribe/sny?partnerId=redirect-nym-snymets
  22. It'd be nice for once to see a studio in NYC/network flagship actually look decent & not like a downgraded copycat of a sister station in another market like L.A. which as documented here seems to have better news sets than New York & these initial photos from WABC sure look promising in that regard. Speaking of L.A., getting some KABC vibes, especially with the desk & even the background.
  23. Nothing set in stone yet, but it appears the Arizona Diamondbacks are going to have an OTA package of some form for the upcoming season according to their President & CEO. Certainly the Phoenix market has many options including the 2 indy stations KTVK & KASW, even the MyNetwork affiliate KUTP is viable.
  24. Noticed this on the post-Super Bowl/The Floor, apparently they updated the video for (at least at night 9PM) the opens to their newscasts (V/O remains the same). 20250211_210115.mp4
  25. At least FOX's refreshed scorebar was creative unlike CBS's last year where it felt generic while leaving the graphics outside of the scorebar largely untouched.
