Nice pickup for NBC getting Bob Costas back to do MLB pregame, he'll also do some stuff for the NBA on NBC & he'll likely have a role in L.A. 28 Olympics coverage. https://www.nbcsports.com/pressbox/press-releases/bob-costas-returns-to-nbc-sports-to-host-sunday-night-baseball-pregame-show

Hopefully to make it easier for fans watching on satellite/cable TV, the channel for Nationals baseball will be the channel space occupied by MASN2.

Not so fast, my friends..... According to someone on the Broadcast Plaza Discord, looked like it was someone on Roblox making the scorebug.

ABC 7 Eyewitness News thread

KGO 100% would've used the "Eyewitness News" branding if it weren't for CBS O&O KPIX using that in the past. -
ABC 7 Eyewitness News thread
NYAZSporty replied to bogusabc7breakingnews's topic in Los Angeles News
I know looking at the Broadcast Plaza Discord around Christmas, this was brought up that the KABC Circle 7 logo was changing to be similar to the one in other O&O markets like NYC (WABC) & Chicago (WLS). -
Gray Media is acquiring WBBJ in Jackson, TN from Bahakel Communications. https://graytv.gcs-web.com/static-files/5f255cb0-5594-4a91-a81a-ce7f5cb1be90

Especially when you considering Nexstar picking up TEGNA & many major market NBC affiliates are owned by them (ie Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix).

KCBS 2/KCAL 9 - CBS Los Angeles News Thread
NYAZSporty replied to Roadrunner's topic in Los Angeles News
Probably should've rebranded to this in the first place. -
Considering how Xfinity (main cable provider in Seattle) has recently been pushing RSNs up to a more expensive cable tier, I'm sure there are some folks up in the Pacific Northwest that'll be happy about this news.
-
Love how the reporter says the station ID of the CBS O&O is San Francisco as K-PIX, I know the station likes to ID itself as KPIX.
-
Well, it's SOP for a network run by ESPN showing on the bottom line scores & news from other sports. They do the same with ACC Network & ESPNU.

CBS will also honor the 50th Anniversary of The NFL Today with Brent Musburger in-studio Week 3 (SH week) 9/21. Also, Adam Schein will do in-game updates full-time this season, he did it on a couple of weeks last year when the studio crew went to Orchard Park (ahead of KC/BUF) & Detroit (ahead of BUF/DET)

If news of this sale goes through, the lines for Talkback 16 will be lit up when it breaks like a Christmas tree!!!

Giants have refreshed their package from 2 yrs. ago when WNBC last aired preseason games to the pre-2022 SNF graphics.
-
That's not gonna happen seeing WANF taking shots at CBS, especially considering Gray did renew contracts for its other CBS affiliates & they won't want to badmouth them, even if some of what CBS has done recently might make it easy for them to mock.
-
I think he's more talking about CBS in terms of preparing WUPA in Atlanta to affiliate with them, don't think they'll be getting anywhere near the same kinda red carpet treatment that ABC's given to WSVN 7.2 & they're going to be a network O&O too!!!
-
You'd think with ABC going this far promoting ABC Miami that it's like an O&O.

ICYW, Tiki Barber left CBS, but will still be busy on Sundays & other days Giants play as well, as he'll be a part of the Giants radio pre & postgame shows. https://www.giants.com/news/giants-and-audacy-s-wfan-extend-play-by-play-partnership-tiki-barber-pregame-postgame-show

general thread NBC Sports/NBCSN/Golf Channel/NBC RSNs Thread
NYAZSporty replied to WCAUTVNBC10's topic in Sport Center
I think they'll continue with coverage leading up to the race & honestly, this might be better for them in terms of coverage of the actual Oaks race because I think when it was on USA/Peacock, any races that aired there, was exclusively live to them & WAVE3 aired the races on a slight tape delay. -
Good on Sunbeam to do this. Had a feeling they would after seeing the initial report on this on 7 News & Craig Stevens (whose FB page looks to me like he's kinda a fanboy to ABC with all the posts relating to the switch) stating they'd be doing an ad campaign ahead of the launch of ABC Miami.

We didn't get affected here in Arizona as KPHO (Phoenix) & KOLD (Tucson) was able to get a clean feed on NCIS Sydney as well as late night. I know some Mountain Time Zone stations were affected, but looks like the extra hour because of us not observing Daylight Savings Time helped. West Coast wasn't affected either even as many stations record the main ET/CT feed to air later.

Love how gung-ho Crossing Broad is in this article, not wanting to recognize KYW's news as it is, sticking to Eyewitness News, much like the person who started this thread, not changing the title. Heck, it sure sounds better than generic CBS News Philadelphia or whatever other O&O city it is, outside of the ones using call letters to ID their news.
