  1. I just hope the fictional Good Morning, Miami from the short-lived early 2000s NBC sitcom of the same name that was somehow based out of WPTV's buidling in West Palm Beach is able to find a new home closer to Miami. Or did that get turned into a ScrippsCast too? /s

  2. Approximately 3 weeks ago, WOOD-TV started the transition from Gotham font to Roboto, per meteorologist Blake Harms. Right now, the opens, news L3 & U3, bug and other graphics have switched over. The weather graphics should reflect over the next little bit. He didn't "hint" to a whole new package -- WOOD is one of the rare few Nexstar stations that stray away from corporate graphics packages, as they have their own in-house team.

  3. The vast majority of Philly folks do not move to New York. A couple of people who made that move among the countless more who did not does not make Philadelphia a breeding ground. And moreover, some people do want to “go home.” You somehow know how Payton will feel in the future, based on what, a few travel posts on Instagram? Seriously?

  4. Hopefully with a station like WEWS, they will stay put. Hopefully they don't cash out 3001 Euclid Avenue to a developer. Aside from the long-vacant building next to it being converted to apartments, there is little reason for WEWS to move and cash out, especially with all of the history that has taken place there. I know they have an Ohio Historical marker for Dorothy Fuldheim. I believe they have another for "Upbeat" which was an early syndicated music show that originated from WEWS and was hosted by Don Webster.

  5. This. Why would you pay up the nose for content that you could get on Paramount+/Peacock/Disney+ when those networks barely care enough to throw a lifeline to their affiliates. The only network that hasn't seen many defections is NBC. Mainly because NBC not only provides compelling live programming (key word is "live") but has also managed to retain its performance in the age of streaming. This is mainly due to Comcast wisely managing their entertainment assets, even though their roots are in cable, they have shut down several cable networks and have even spun off 99% of its cable networks due to changing logistics. NBC is as lean and efficient as FOX despite them not opening a studio. There is more value of being an NBC affiliate than CBS or ABC at this point.
