  1. Well we have allowed the entire process (elex) to be perverted up to this point. Why not take the whole thing over the cliff. As much as I want to say "bad idea" all I can do is watch. I would hope some sane person in CBS news has said "no"...but who am I fooling? maybe CNN can get Kathy Griffin and Anderson Cooper to do their act on the big night. "Ohhhhh Hanging Chads....ohhhhhh".

  3. That usually happens when the chyron operator has a few shots during dinner break. They enter the wrong event number (too drunk) and bring up the old stuff, that they forgot to delete (drunk again) last week when the new graphics arrived. Too drunk to "preview"...Chyron people are that way.

  4. That posting has been up since May, probably when they began the search for the new sports anchor. They're required to post job openings publicly even if they intend to offer it to an internal candidate. That's all it means.

  6. I think had it not been for Dave Ward and Marvin Zindler, KTRK would have remained a non-factor in Houston. I guess Dave Ward didn't have a "lifetime" contract like his former co-worker. And it was Dave Ward who hired Zindler in the first place!

  7. Phillies games are never simulcast within the market. If the game is on NBC10, CSN will have other programming, but still feature Pre Game Live and Post Game Live. Since the timing of the game can vary, the normal procedure is to have the next studio on standby. Normally, this is CSN (or TCN) waiting to go with Post Game Live. In this situation, it was likely easier for NBC10 to fill to the top of the hour with news rather than quickly add/delete commercial time to fit the slot. It's rare to have the game broadcast crew fill to the top or bottom of the hour for programming purposes. Why? There are a few reasons. Suddenly putting together highlights to fill three minutes is not something they're going to want to do. If it's the last game in a series, and they are on a road trip, the goal is to close out the signal, pack the truck and get out of there. Also, if the game runs long and the satellite window is approaching its closing, they likely would not want to extend just to fill out NBC10's airtime. (This is unlikely, but possible.)

  8. Hoda Kotb is expected to take on a major roles for the Today show coverage of the olympics games for the next 3 weeks, since Savannah is Manhattan Bound (due to Zika concerns) . She will be co hosting with Matt Lauer on the Main Show and will anchor the opening Ceremony alongside Matt and Meredith . Does anyone possible think she could join Matt and Savannah premantaly in the Fall or take on a large role with the Today show franchise ? She has been making a lot of aprrenace durning the 8 o'clock hour the past 2 weeks, because of the Today's convention coverage. She also has been making random appearances in the 8'o clock hour to disuse, What's Trending Today. Since a avoid is going to be left with Natalie gone (and no reports to replace her/ add a new news anchor) do you think Today might add her as an anchor on 7-9 team??? I personally think she would be AMAZING with Matt and Savannah they seem to gel well together.
