Apparently WGCL is not ready to give up on news just yet. In 2 weeks, they will launch a 9pm newscast for now full sister station WPCH. Let me just say that the way Megyn Kelly's show was Today should be how it always is... Opening with a panel discussion of the day's biggest issues whether it is politics or terrorism, etc. It seemed right in her wheel house... She seemed more comfortable, with less arm waving and less awkwardness.

I actually went digging for this a little over a month ago and came up with the name David Baron, who did a bunch of network branding stuff in the 90s. There was a shop Baron and Baron that did this sort of material. ——— I did make a find, though. "It's WHO We Are" is Peters! And the short-lived WKRN 1986 was written by Jeffrey Steinberg.

65 years ago today, A station on channel 27 in Portland, Oregon made history as being the first UHF station that is still operating today. That station is KPTV, now on Channel 12. Here is a ID from KPTV from the 1980s
