For game show fans out there like myself, O'Connell will always be remembered as the host of the NBC short lived series "GO". Loved that show.

TEGNA Broadcasting and Digital General Discussion
TexasTVNews replied to ABC 7 Denver's topic in Corporate Chat
Tegna has found a replacement for KHOU general manager Susan McEldoon, who is stepping down in January. Industry vet Bobby Springer will join the Houston station in August and work alongside McEldoon as he transitions into the role in the new year, which is when KHOU will move to its new home. “Bobby’s talents in marketing, branding, sales, digital and leading teams across Tegna through transformation initiatives make him the best choice to lead KHOU into a new era,” said Lynn Beall, executive vice president and chief operating officer of media operations for Tegna. Springer comes from KUSA in Denver. He has held roles in business development, sales design and production at various Tegna stations, including KARE, where he worked in news and promotions. He has won regional Emmys, a Telly Award, a Minnesota Broadcasters Award, numerous Colorado Broadcasters Awards, a Promax BDA Award and a TVB Emma- 3705 replies

One problem. On Sundays, FOX 4 airs Sports Sunday with Mike Doocy at 10:00PM. Speaking of Mike Doocy, he hosting a new locally produced half-hour program called "Free 4 All" weeknights at 10:30PM this fall. The station will be dropping 10:30PM repeats of Modern Family to accommodate the new show. http://unclebarky.com/dfw_files/10ddb1d1dcb355ec1a35dc61176c95de-4208.html

So many FOX O&Os are expanding newscasts on their stations, and you can add KDFW to the list. After recently expanding Good Day DFW to a 4AM start, KDFW now is elongating back to the end of the show as well. Starting in September, KDFW FOX4 will extend the locally produced, #1 rated program to 10AM while pushing Live with Kelly and Ryan out of the 9AM time slot it has long held since Regis and Kathy Lee. The show will move to 10AM under current plans. http://unclebarky.com/dfw_files/14dc89079efbff9cc26289ea8a82b3c1-4207.html

How many of you all remember this show from the early 90s? The very first show of Personalities from September 3, 1990. Personalities was a daily magazine featuring entertainment news and profiles of newsmakers and trendsetters. Charlie Rose left the show less than two months after its debut and was replaced by Bill Sternoff. `Personalities' was re-titled `E.D.J.' (short for `Entertainment Daily Journal') in July 1991, with new anchors Jim Moret and Janet Zappala.
