I wished Brandon would anchor with Clarice at 5:30 and 10pm. KDFW hasn't had co-anchor since Baron James left long ago.

Who wants to buy WPIX? If I'm a betting man, I predict Tegna Media, Scripps, or Meredith.

Jon Du Pre returns to KTVX (ABC) in Salt Lake City to anchor ABC 4 News at 10:00pm with newcomer Emily Florenz weeknights. Current main anchor Don Hudson will continue to anchor ABC 4 News at 5:00 & 6:00pm. https://www.abc4.com/news/local-news/jon-du-pre-joins-emily-florez-as-anchor-of-abc4-news-at-10-pm/1690450382

Don't forget about John Marler and Cathy Marshall (WHDH, KATU), and they'll still married.

It is with a very heavy heart I tell you that Doug Johnson, the longtime Chief Weathercaster at KPRC (NBC) Houston has passed away today. Doug anchored the weather at KPRC for 33 years until his retirement in 1994. Doug along with the late, great Ron Stone were two great KPRC legends throughout the 70s, 80s and 90s until Ron's retirement in 1992. From hurricanes, thunderstorms, hail and hot sunny days... Doug was there to cover it all. Tribute of Doug Johnson is on the KPRC's website. Condolences goes out to Doug's family and to his extended family at KPRC NBC 2. Rest in peace, Doug and Godspeed. And say hello to Ron Stone from all of us. https://www.click2houston.com/news/doug-johnson-longtime-kprc2-weatherman-dies-at-79

I really hate starting the first week of 2019 with a death of a broadcaster. Long-time WLTX-TV Sports Director Bob Shields has passed away after an 18 month battle of cancer. Shields had covered local High School and College sports in Columbia, SC, market for three decades. Shields survived by his wife and two children. Condolences goes out to The Shields Family and his extended family at WLTX News 19. RIP and Godspeed. https://www.wltx.com/video/news/remembering-bob-shields/101-7ac8eb55-163d-435a-b178-4fff02f853ab https://www.wltx.com/video/news/local/wltx-colleagues-remember-bob-shields/101-e5d07da1-9ddd-4667-b741-e7195d7b9cf1 https://www.wltx.com/video/news/bob-shields-farewell-broadcast-on-wltx/101-7ee446d3-d569-40fc-ba14-d67589aa40bc

Another long-time anchor is hanging up the mic as of March 1st of next year. Jeff Brady, anchor of KENS 5 Eyewitness News and former anchor at KSAT, WFAA and KTXD is retiring. KENS will look for a new anchor after Brady retires. https://www.adweek.com/tvspy/kens-5-anchor-jeff-brady-retires-from-broadcasting/210788

In the memory of Chris Bradley. RIP

The "Texas 21" branding comes back to me when KXTX was then known as "Texas 39" in the early-mid 90s and KTXD was also known as "Texas 47".

Next week, Clarice Tinsley will be celebrating its 40th anniversary at KDFW-TV. She is now the longest running female anchor at a single station to broadcast the news in Dallas/Fort Worth for four decades. From Barry Judge to the late Chip Moody, to Steve Bosh (KUSI), to John Criswell (Retired), to Dale Shornack (former 5PM Anchor), to Baron James to currently Steve Eagar; Clarice has set the standard for local television news. To us here in the Metroplex, she's our Ann Bishop... The Ann Bishop of DFW. FOX 4 is airing a special called CT40 Tuesday at 6:30PM after FOX 4 News at Six. Clarice congrats on 40 years at KDFW... and let's go for 50.

I talked to Freddie (houstontvnews) on Facebook and he told me that his YT account was disabled. Too many videos flagged by NBCUniversal in a short amount of time. He'll be back soon.

In the memory of Texans owner Bob McNair. If it wasn't for McNair, NFL Football would have never return to Houston. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=Aq-GIkxGe6I;t=9

You can stick a fork in CT's longtime anchor Gerry Brooks, he's just about done. The long time WVIT (NBC CT) anchor wraps up another November book tomorrow and this one will be his last. Brooks says that he is retiring tomorrow when the November book wraps up. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/11/20/signing-off-in-ct

Folks, it was three months ago I predict Jason Wheeler would be John McCaa's successor when he retires in March of next year... but I was wrong, it's Chris Lawrence who'll be joining News 8 at 5, 6 & The Update at 10pm. Lawrence who's currently at WRC/NBC 4 will join WFAA in January 2019, the station announced today, and will move into the evening anchor role filled by McCaa, who has already announced that he'll retire March 1st. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/local/chris-lawrence-joins-wfaa-to-co-anchor-evening-newscasts-in-march-2019/287-615957480

IIRC, Mike Davis was the chief meteorologist at 10TV before being demoted to morning and noon to make way for Chris Bradley joining 10TV after working at WSYX.

23 years ago tonight, Capt. Ad Lib was remembered at a memorial/funeral service. Two promos.
