I'm not entirely convinced the current ad market is going to back that promise up in a month. Political can only get you so far and that almost certainly won't ramp up again until late Summer - and that's assuming we're out of this by then. "At the present time" is the key qualifier here.

It's interesting but I'm willing to bet it's a promo pack--maybe exclusive to Dallas--that gets the marketing team by while talent is social distancing and WFH.

I mean...they're not allowed in the building. What do you want them to do, another LA show? I'm guessing there may be are labor reasons why CTM can go to the Ed Sullivan Theater and WCBS (or Last Week Tonight or whatever's still in the building) couldn't go to...say, the 60 Minutes building across the street. Or the Daily Show set which isn't far away from the Broadcast Center. Or what was the TRL space in Times Square. Honestly, I don't see a big reason why WCBS also couldn't also do the Sullivan theater unless they're really trying to adhere to this distancing--and if that's the reason, I can't totally blame them.

Are we sure that isn't the same set and not just a duratrans skyline pulled down in front of the newsroom? Looking at the '95 and '97 clips, a lot of the set elements are in the exact same spot...

Philadelphia as a market is very geOgraphicaLly dIverse and vasT--not partIcularly easy to get to the Coverage area they serve--so you have to consider thAt they're in a Location two hours out from the big city as well as the state cApitol to the west, and serving an auDience that may be commuting to and fro each Spot throughout the morning.

I remember Steve and Allison when they ran the 9 on the WGN America Superstation feed - some nights I'd watch them over the local news. They were that good.

I have noticed CBS has taken on a more CNN look and feel of late. Their debate graphics earlier this week were the best I've seen them look in a LONG time - but they're so obviously CNN inspired.

And that definitely looks like a Linear Drift design - that they haven't debuted on air yet.

We're all fixated on what happens with ABC News's set but meanwhile, Evening News debuted a much more modest (at least compared to the all glass) desk tonight.

Excellent find! This is fascinating to watch. The show only lasted two months and there's barely any information on the program anywhere. Captain Kangaroo delivering hard news commentary is wild.
