I'm really not a big fan of Peyton. She doesn't speak like she's having a natural conversation like Chris and many others do. I'll never understand that decision. Also, whenever I see her on the air, I think about Chris! It's interesting that he keeps posting pretty much exclusively about Philly / Jersey weather, so I guess that explains that!

So I saw that post on Facebook, of him at the basketball game with his laptop open to models. I took it to mean he was doing it "for fun" not necessarily working. But, I also don't think it's unreasonable to expect one of the station's main meteorologists to be at the station working on a forecast the day before a Nor'easter, and if he had already commited to the game, the station was gracious to let him "work from home" on the forecast. People need to lighten up!

Does anyone have any links to the new version of "Summon the Heroes" NBC is using during primetime? They used it during Paris also. It's catchy and gets stuck in my head!

I'm pretty sure they now lease a new Chopper 6. I've seen footage from it. Just recently, this morning.

I'm still baffled by the way things played out with Chris Sowers. That was such a huge loss to the station. I was thinking that this weekend as I was watching the news before church. I haven't really warmed up much to Peyton.

I enjoyed ABC's coverage. David Muir has become one of my favorites. I was especially surprised to go to bed and wake up at 5:30 AM and STILL see him and the entire team still on! Did the other networks go that late with their whole teams? That was almost 10 hours.

I'm not sure how I feel about it yet. I think I liked the background image they used previously better. This one is too... dark blue? I also don't understand why this was necessary, the other set didn't seem outdated at all? The different weather views are interesting... but I don't like how in the one shot, you can see the side of a copier and a literal recycling bin in the background! I don't know how I feel about the contrast on the screens behind them in all situations vs. on screen graphics. The screens need some fine-tuning, I think. Maybe the actual contrast itself needs adjusting.

I like some of that, too! But I'm talking about the remixes of the famous intro and commercial break music. I did read an article about them having done the remixes, but I can't find any links to the actual music anywhere. It's catchy.

"Central Indiana's first source for news"... is this true, or just what they say? Are Fox stations often the #1 news in an area? I find that to be an interesting claim.
