  1. Wow. I so disagree. About the only thing I don't like about Time Warner are their boxes, which are easily avoidable by buying a TiVo. Otherwise, I think they're a great cable company. From what I've heard, *anyone* else would be worse (not including Verizon FiOS, of course).
  2. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel ran down a lengthy list of people joining the Milwaukee news market: - Lane Kimble joins CBS affiliate WDJT as a reporter, previously from WJFW-TV Rhinelander, WI. - Bill Walsh joins WDJT as reporter/fill-in anchor, previously from WMEN-TV in Saginaw, MI. - Trey Daerr joins ABC affiliate WISN as sports anchor/reporter, previously from KNWA/KARK-TV in Fayetville, AR. - Toni Valliere joins WISN as anchor, previously from KSN-TV in Joplin, MO. - Chris Gloninger joins WISN as meteorologist/reporter, previously from WRGB-TV in Albany, NY. - Bret Lemoine joins FOX affiliate WITI as anchor, previously from WFRV-TV in Green Bay, WI. - Krystle Kacner joins WITI as reporter/video journalist/web contributor, previously from WHO-TV in Des Moines, OH. - Yona Gavino joins NBC affiliate WTMJ as reporter, previously from WLUC-TV in Marquette, MI - Shannon Sims joins WTMJ as reporter/anchor, previously from WKEF-TV in Dayton, OH.
  3. Lot of moves going on in Milwaukee: - Morning anchor Shawn Patrick has left FOX affiliate WITI. It appears that his contract was simply not renewed by the station. - Meteorologist Luke Sampe will leave ABC affiliate WISN at the end of July to become the chief meteorologist for WFRV, Green Bay's CBS affiliate. - Anchor/Reporter Shelby Croft will leave WISN in August and join Columbus, Ohio's CBS affiliate WBNS.
  4. Melissa McCrady, an anchor-reporter for WTMJ-TV Milwaukee, exits the station and TV news for a position as director of communications for the Mequon-Thiensville School District. Mequon and Thiensville are northern suburbs of Milwaukee. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/entertainment/211026881.html
  5. Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's TV/radio columnist Duane Dudek reports that WISN-TV weekend morning anchor and general assignment reporter Abe Lubetkin is exiting the station and TV news for a job with Milwaukee-based Johnson Controls. http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/entertainment/209921351.html
  6. Wow. Very surprising. Personally, I think he still comes across as very green on-air. That said, kudos to him for getting a big opportunity.
