I don't know how I feel about this open. Did they always call their 11PM show - 'Late News'?

Wow. Wonder when the other stations will launch...

Yup!
No one at the station cares about the wonderful tradition that has been part of New York broadcasting for
so many decades.
Last year, when Covid restrictions had already began to ease, WNBC chose not to produce the "Holdiay Song"
outdoors. When I questioned management about this, the excuse was that the Prometheus Fountain area was
in the midst of alterations. Surely, there were other outdoor locations that could have been used. But no one
seemed to care!
Also, last year, was the first and only time that the music chosen was a "Christmas Song," not the longstanding
policy to only use "Holiday Songs." When I pointed this out to management, the response was "Really?"
Ignorance and Apathy rule supreme at 30 Rock!
Oh you're big mad about this.

CNN is leaving CNN Center in the next 3 years from what I understand. Yes, the Atlanta operations (what's left) are moving back to Techwood. I don't suspect they'll have anything quite as grand as the set they have at CNN Center. It would surprise me if they build out a full studio once they're fully back at Techwood.
Speaking of moving, a user on the Eyes of a Generation Facebook page is reporting that CNN is moving their LA bureau from its longtime Sunset Ave home to the old KNBC facility on the old NBC lot, that's now owned by WBD.
Chris is on a mission. Ugh.

Something tells me that management was caught off guard about Holmes' 'relationship' with another ABC News employee (a former GMA producer) that they felt that a deeper investigation, if you will, needed to happen. Plus, someone likely voiced a concern about the two, for whatever reason, that force management to pull them.
We likely won't know anything (and probably shouldn't) so it's just a waiting game at this point. I will say that Stephanie Ramos and DeMarco Morgan (who's first day with ABC News was yesterday I believe) seem to be a pretty good pair from what i saw briefly yesterday and today.
DeMarco started in early November.

Seems as if WBTV isn't going to officially announce it's their aircraft until station management contacts the family of the deceased.

Could she end up co-anchoring CBS Mornings?
The team is already strong, I think 48 Hours is perfect for her, fits her news delivery.

Sounds like she left on her own terms.

I see JHud appears to be doing well, but I’m curious to know about season 4 of Kelly Clarkson and Tamron Hall. How are those shows doing in the ratings?

They are Tamron, J Hud, Sherri are getting the same ratings, pretty much.

I wonder what happened to her to leave WNYW and RETIRE (major), she hasn't been at the station too long and she's not old at all (59 years old).

Jennifer Hudson is definitely on Ellen's set. The main stage looks significantly different but they should have done more changes to the audience side of the studio to make it no look like Ellen. Three of Ellen's old EPs moved over to the show as well.
More than half the staff is from Ellen, same studio, and offices.

Juliette Goodrich doing a standup for the 6pm tease “CBS NEWS BAY AREA with Juliette Goodrich.”
im kinda impressed with the NEW B-Roll shots they are using of the SF skyline and the SF Bay with the Golden Gate Bridge from afar.
Any photos of this? Would love to see...

I'm a fan of the cohesiveness in looks of both the network and local stations. It makes sense to me. I wonder if other networks will follow suit if this works for CBS?
Media is changing.

Big News. Gray's largest TV station could be changing its callsign this fall.
Its CBS station in Atlanta, WGCL-TV has filed an app to change its callsign to WANF.
If approved, the change would go in effect on October 3.
Why would a station want to do this?

There are a few parts of the newscast where CBS is copying (or if you prefer, taking inspiration from) ABC. They didn’t air a single commercial until 14 minutes in, and that commercial (for a pharmaceutical, of course) was accompanied by a headline banner. In addition, Robert Costa’s opening story relied heavily on quick soundbites, fast cuts, zoom effects, and the obligatory “Breaking News” banner, all hallmarks of modern-day ABC News.
I’m not sure if any of these adjustments were in place before today, and the rest of the stories felt like they were from a CBS newscast, but I couldn’t help noticing some close similarities to David Muir’s newscast.
CBS has been doing the late commercial and 60 second commercial thing for a few weeks now.

Nicely said. Things change, just gotta get with the times. These news organizations are struggling (most don't even look for sweeps periods anymore) - who really watches the news anymore?
We get our information from social media. I would side eye an organization if they weren't making changes right now...
