  1. Wait, WHAT?! I didn't know that.
  2. Not only that, they have brand new music: Aerial by Stephen Arnold Music (yeah, the theme that most of TVNT hates, lol...).
  3. Here's a rarity: WXEX's (now WRIC; Richmond, VA) Eyewitness News Nightcast from September 21, 1987 (starts at 2:24). Channel 8 moved from Petersburg (my hometown) to its current location near Richmond a few years later.
  4. What shows? The only Fox Nation program they have aired is Park'd, a travel show hosted by Abby Hornacek.

    In Memoriam

Sad news to report: Dave Hughes, the bearded and camo-clad founder/publisher of the popular Washington/Baltimore media news/gossip site DCRTV.com, has passed away at 63. He had an apparent heart attack Monday (Dec. 27th). DCRTV has been online for 24 years. 6. And now the Gray stations are removed from NewsOn (the Meredith stations are still there as I’m posting this). That was fast.

  8. Welllll.... I think you got your wish. WTKR and WGNT are now using the Florida24 version of the theme for all their opens. Blaine Stewart's Twitter post from the 12th... Also, I'm loving the new music in our show opens. @WTKR3 https://t.co/3DnWlLwO1D" / Twitter Here's the full theme from Stephen Arnold Music's YouTube Page. Florida 24 Network - YouTube
  9. We missed this: Jason Marks (WAVY) and Erica Greenway (WTKR) exited their stations yesterday and today respectively. They're heading to California, but didn't say where in the state. Robert Corbin VARTV on Twitter: "Married couple, Nexstar's @WAVY_News reporter @jasonmarkswavy and @WTKR3's anchor/reporter @ericagreenway, set to exit their respective stations... #hrva #VARTV" / Twitter
  10. Here's the article from TVNewsCheck's Market Share about the new Florida24 theme from Stephen Arnold. It also includes the full main theme. Stephen Arnold Makes Music For Scripps News Network - Marketshare (tvnewscheck.com)
  11. Update on Richmond: WRLH is airing Young Sheldon weeknights at midnight starting tonight (9/27). It's best to put the show on at 7pm or 7:30pm with The Big Bang Theory.
  12. To my home market (Richmond/Petersburg, VA) we go... WTVR (CBS) and WRIC (ABC): No change. WWBT (NBC): Well, just a little change. I mentioned earlier that WWBT debuted a new 11am newscast called NBC12 News Before Noon last Monday (9/6), moving TODAY with Hoda & Jenna to 10am leaving LIVE with Kelly and Ryan without a home in Richmond. WRLH (FOX): Judge Judy repeats replace The Doctors at 9am starting tomorrow (Monday 9/13). Judy continues to air at 5pm, while The Doctors move to 4am. You Bet Your Life with Jay Leno will air at 11:30am and 11pm. The second airing of YBYL moves Daily Mail TV to 11:30pm. The Steve Wilkos Show moves from 4pm to 1pm replacing Funny You Should Ask which will move to 3:30am. Wilkos continues to air at 10am. A second airing of Maury will air at 4pm starting tomorrow until Nick Cannon premieres on September 27th in that timeslot. WRLH-DT2 (TBD/MNT): No change to the subchannel's weeknight 6-8pm syndicated lineup. WUPV (CW): The new show Relative Justice airs at 2pm starting tomorrow (Monday 9/13). The Real now airs weekdays at 8am. Starting Monday, September 20th, Dateline will air at 9am (replacing a second airing of Divorce Court and Judge Jerry), Law & Order: SVU will air at 10am (replacing The Jerry Springer Show) and Chicago Fire will air at 11am (replacing Judge Mathis). That means Divorce Court and Judge Jerry will continue to air at 7am and 7:30am respectively, Judge Mathis continues to air at 5pm, and The Jerry Springer Show moves to an overnight timeslot at 3am. I'll update this post if there any more changes.
  13. I can see WRLH getting Live! but right now they have The Doctors at 9am (until the 10th, will be replaced by Judge Judy repeats; Judge Judy continues to air at 5pm) and Steve Wilkos at 10am. Scratch out the other three because WWBT's sister station WUPV has Divorce Court and Judge Jerry. WRIC still has 8 News at 9 and The 700 Club and WTVR has their longtime local talk/entertainment show Virginia This Morning at 9am.
  14. Memphis is not the only one. Live! with Kelly and Ryan will no longer be seen in Richmond starting Monday because WWBT is moving TODAY with Hoda and Jenna from 11am to 10am. Also, the station will debut a new 11am newscast called NBC12 News Before Noon. 12 About Town Today (their news and lifestyle show that is named after one of the station's longtime segments) which debuted in 2019 (I think?) that replaced the noon newscast continues to air at noon.
  15. Meanwhile here in Richmond - and Hampton Roads - too... WRIC anchor Juan Conde is leaving the station after 22 years. He signs off September 14. Juan Conde leaving broadcast news after 22-year career at WRIC ABC 8News | 8News Eric Philips - formerly of WWBT and CBN - joined WRIC late last month. Veteran journalist Eric Philips joins the WRIC ABC 8News anchor team | 8News Leland Pinder joined WTVR last month as their 5pm & 5:30pm anchor. He recently worked for WIS in Columbia. Let's welcome Leland Pinder to Richmond (wtvr.com) WWBT sports director Marc Davis is heading down I-64 East to WTKR/WGNT in Hampton Roads.
