I would agree the talent really isn’t strong as they once were. And the product isn’t all that great. I think it’s absolutely ridiculous with what Sam Champion goes on air wearing (1/2 the time not even a jacket) Bill Ritter in my book has no credibility and his comments are ridiculous (his social media posts about how many masks he’s wearing and how many Covid tests he’s taken arent so great either). And I would rathe see someone else at 5.. I would agree the strongest team they have right now is Joe and Sandra. Michelle needs a weekday spot at the desk. I actually like Maurice and Kristine at 5 fwiw.

The lighting of the overall set seemed off too me.. it also looked like they are slightly less social distancing..

I’m sure if there was they would’ve had an O&O over satellite or someone from WABC hop in.

There was speculation l however I don’t think it’s true. Liz answered at tweet at one point that nobody had Covid and she was taking time off while her daughter transitions to a new school.

Before I ask I don’t have access to check right now but are they separating it from the 6:00 or is it just expanding 6-7?

I agree.. they really don’t have anyone that brings the “wow” factor to the show. WNBC people seem to like Darlene and Michael.. GDNY has a good team especially later on..I do wish they’d give Dan a co-anchor 4:30-6.. WABC people will always stick with.. as they do have a really good morning team.. and PIX has been picking up some big names lately and really improving the show.

I think they’ll be a great team and a nice option for weekend mornings. I wonder who will actually do the weather?

I’m sure we’ll see the other stations do it too in the coming days.. last time when NY dropped the mask mandate they were back to normal seating. If I remember right it was only WABC that didn’t.

It’s for the weather I’m sure.. I would say all stations are starting early especially with the the timing of the storm again. Even News12 is starting early tomorrow.

Byron has been covering quite often at night for G recently.. I wonder if he’ll move to nights and Chris will get mornings?

Dick Brennan and Dana Tyler started anchoring the 5pm newscast.. since about 5:15-5:20 Dana has been solo. Hope he’s ok.

I wonder where she’s headed? WNBC? WPIX? Or does WCBS finally get a traffic anchor lol guess we’ll see.

Also to note.. Maurice and Kristine are off.. Dick Brennan and Andrea Clyde-Thomas filled in (Andrea actually filed a report earlier in the day) and Dick filled in again at 6 for Dana.. Lonnie did the weather from home. I know it’s a holiday week but I’m wondering if there was a positive and they had to scramble to get coverage and set up?

WCBS is back to social distancing on set.. anchors are now on opposite ends of the desk.. similar to how WPIX has their anchors sitting.

I just checked.. she has the claim posted on Instagram.. more than a few PIX employees commenting and showing support. The alleged harasser apparently got away with it for some time but is no longer with PIX

Update: according to Instagram comments it’s: 4:30-6 Dan solo 6-7 Bianca and Dan 7-9 Bianca and Rosanna 9-10 Rosanna

I saw somewhere that Bianca is going to be in at 6:00am. Is she going to anchor an hour with Dan and then join Rosanna or is Rosanna going to start at 6 and have Dan do 4:30-6? Find it weird she’ll be with him for an hour…

Interesting. I wonder if they’ll use this as an opportunity to announce Kirstin Cole as the permanent anchor? Also wonder if any other stations will follow?
