  1. That set's appearance has been aging pretty quickly lately... Maybe Santa can bring that too? HIGHLY UNLIKELY! Lol
  2. That promo has been airing for the past six months. They have another animated one like that, that hangs outside a theater. It lights up like a motel looking sign.
  3. Couldn't have said this in any better way! So true.
  4. Wbbm morning news from PM at a station that is last compared to its major competitors (7 and 5) would be a demotion for Rob and a huge downgrade...
  5. Yep. No clue. That place is such a clusterf**k
  6. It took 3 minutes to load and they kept changing the background music every two sec and the screen was a green tint during them. So it looked like alien invaded fireworks but that's a pretty successful day for WFLD! Js
  7. Also Elizabeth Matthews works pretty much 7 days a week even though she's freelance. Typical WFLD way - Get a rid of two reporters (Helms and Lewis), hire one freelancer
  8. Put it this way YELLEN said something along the line of: those fireworks live are about the most organized part of the show we've seen all night.
  9. Dear Lord, every video, live coverage, graphics, you name it.
  10. The news at 9 tonight is beyond painful to watch. Beyond horrible! POOR. LARRY. YELLEN. He's trying so hard but the glitches are just unbearable.
  11. Yeah, I guess I just don't understand. It's almost like they want to just throw 32 news down the drain
  12. At 3 days now and knowing WFLD, I don't think it's just lighting.. Gotta say I'm digging the temporary set-up though nonetheless. Newsroom renovation is a huge improvement from before.
  13. Than having to look solely at that horse shit news desk *
  14. The other morning, Erin Kennedy and Vince Gerasole (who you can totally tell the two DON'T get along), were doing a stand-up shot where the streetview is, however they have now completely blacked out every single window on that side. It looked tacky, but sadly a new area for them, covered or not, was a huge step forward than that horseshit "news desk."
  15. Yep! They started this about a week ago and also use the computers in the background and a CBS 2 logo as a backdrop, zoomed in when their sitting at the computer workstations.
  16. I know, lol! I was just surprised haha... If only they would continue to fix it up to at least get it in a functional state. :bang:
  17. I swear insiders at news stations check these sites because since the posting of the studio being pitch black, all new lighting has either been installed or in the process of being installed and they finished installing the remainder of outdated televisions, to better correspond with the former sports desk televisions that were replaced a year ago (the rolling tv stands and sports area television(s) have been upgraded). It also appears that a new tv has been installed in the right corner of the set, adjacent to the sports area (former traffic area) and that they have re-lighted the area, appearing much cleaner. Hopefully CBS is finally cracking down on WBBM-TV's sloppy presentation.
  18. http://www.robertfeder.com/2015/06/09/fox-32-reporter-comes-back-from-st-louis/ Watched her report.. Good but very entry-level in my opinion. Someone I'd expect to see at our vacation house in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. Hasbrouck goes "and where are you from by the way?" After Jeff welcomed her to the team :rofl!:
  19. I love the pitch black s**t bucket set look tonight. You would think they can at least replace some lights in the 2 broadcast center. No wonder their the armpit of 10pm!
  20. Yeah! Thought that was pretty cool. The old chopper is completely stripped of its graphics too in the report, appearing only white and black.
  21. NBC CHICAGO receives new Chopper http://www.nbcchicago.com/traffic/transit/
  22. Ha! It's funny that you say that because I literally was just so confused, sitting here thinking "since when did Cheryl Scott ever fill-in as a news anchor." It's been forever since I've seen Burton truly as a full "contributor" on air that she completely slipped my mind for a second.. Or two! Haha.
