Good Day Chicago winter team coverage: Mark in the Weather Ctr., Tammy at the interactive board with storm info, Joanie, Anita in the field and Sondra on the road and this is 6am. Impressive!

I wish they'd make him (Corey) the 9pm sports anchor/sports director. He definetely deserves it and I think would be great to have him back on again on sports!

I agree Jeff eases the mood and In my opinion looses up Dawn and Bill is dorky but can be funny and Lou... I can't. He drives me crazy. After 9:40 I instantly change the channel lol.

I do gotta say, I really like the Jeff and Dawn team at 9pm. I also have seen an improvement in the 9pm news in my opinion. For example, they started right away with team coverage with Craig and Alexa in the field and Bill in the Weather Center. If you think about it, sadly, 2 reporters for WFLD is a lot in one newscast since they lack personnel. Idk just my opinion. Put it this way, I don't want to fall asleep anymore now that Sirott's dry humor is gone.

I saw that I think although simple, it looks good and fits the new graphics pretty well.

Interesting thing about the ABC 7 Weather Dept. Promo: Cheryl Scott is included in the weather team while Troy is not. This tells me that although her current title is "Fill-in," She's not so fill-in (freelance) after all. She is really trying though. She has been delivering a pretty solid forecast and you can tell she's really trying to interact with her new anchor team.

I was just thinking about this, will Abc 7 still broadcast the WCIU news at 7 pm from the street side studio? I know they'll broadcast out of abc7 but will they from the street side set? Also, do you think they will modify the logo for the 7pm to include WCIU's logo in?

And why do they have senior team members (JR, Veteran and Jerry Chief Meteorologist) working Christmas Eve when they have brand new Dionne and Fill-In meteorologist C. Scott???

I wish those two can anchor at 4 on ABC 7 just like they used to at 11 again. I know, it will never happen but still... They set the bar so high for news outlets in Chicago when they anchored together Midday in my opinion. If WFLD was smart, they would've worked something out with her. I know its a far stretch with them, I just wish they would realize she could boost ratings on their 9 p.m. show.

Met him by State Street. He was very cocky and have a total know-it-all attitude. It just left me with negative feelings towards him. Everyone has their days though I guess.

He said yesterday at 9 p.m. that they are updating their weather system/software (whatever that means) and he was piloting it.

I used to like Caplan until I met him. Flat out arrogant! After that, I had no appreciation for him at all. Glad he's not getting the new gig.

They don't like the views, reflections from the sun allegedly caused a reflection on the set.
