    Well, Gannett's designs are dreadfully basic, so I can see how it could confuse me. It just has the blue 'news' bar at the bottom, and that made me think. KING started making their own promos using Gannett-esque stuff before the standardization came.

    KXVA posted a promo on their facebook page for a sweeps story, and it has the hallmarks of Gannett. Pay attention to the lower third. Here

    Haven't heard it at any other stations, so it may be a custom cut. I can kind of put "The Spirit of Texas" to that initial signature, though. Gari may have done what it did the the Sinclair signature in Daily News.

    An inside source is telling me that former KXVA/KIDY anchor, Skyler Nichols, will be replacing Nora Hartfeil as KRBC morning anchor. Hartfeil is leaving for a TV job in her native Portland, OR.

    KRBC Evening Anchor and Executive Producer, Megan Dobbs, was promoted to news director of both KRBC & KTAB this past week. TBH- Her replacement, Dayne Marae, sucks.

    KIDY's building, with a logo I've never seen used on the sign. KXVA's office (used to be a fed-ex shop). It now has a KXVA sign out front.

    According to inside sources, KXVA/KIDY will get a full rebrand with the Gannett standard look.

    KTXS is an award-winning ABC affiliate. KTAB is the news leader. KRBC has been the primary NBC affiliate since the station's inception. They won't change, at least not in Abilene.
