1. Is it me, or does it does it sound a bit like Strive? Not saying there's a connection.
2. FCC has greenlighted the sale of WLLZ-LP in Cedar, MI to Freelancer Television Broadcasting (Owner of MI News 26/WMNN) Freelancer has already taken over operations at the station and plans to expand news to WLLZ when it's converted to digital.
3. Wotila says WMNN and LNN are both based off of HLN's news wheel. Affiliates are getting the ability for local inserts from day 1. Affiliates also get localized tickers and websites.
4. Eric Wotila, the founder of WMNN-LD in Cadillac/Traverse City, is kickstarting a news network that would be available over the air and online. I got a hold of a press release Wotila sent out:
5. http://counton2.com/2014/11/03/travis-rice/ The web team is a bit slow in Charleston.
6. WLLZ-LP is being sold to WMNN-LD (MI News 26) owner Freelancer Television Broadcasting. http://licensing.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/pubacc/prod/app_det.pl?Application_id=1766914 Do note that WLLZ is still analog. WMNN runs a 24 hour news channel, so this buy could mean an expansion of OTA coverage.
7. It is production music, and I believe it's in 615's Platinum Series. Unsure on name of the cut.
8. People watch morning news for the local news, generally. Any local anchor is preferable to Matt Lauer in almost all cases, anyway. This will be good news for the GMA's, CBSTM's, and Good Days.
9. https://videohive.net/item/broadcast-design-complete-news-package-5/6058779 Here's the package in all of its glory.
10. I'm 18, working as an Anchor/Reporter at the #3 station in market #118. If young people can do the job, more power to them.
11. Nexstar called. They want their terrible slogan back.
12. http://hothauscreative.com/ktrk-graphics-package Watch the linked video ^, and compare the elements (more specifically at :35 and 1:24) with WFXR. The elements at the times stated above are shared and used at :10 and :19 in the video below.
13. It wasn't done by artworks. It's made by Hothaus or at least a contractor who worked with Hothaus on KTRK's package. The packages share elements.
14. Sources told my sources that sources said the sources in the another source's town knew about this.
15. Knowing Scripps, it'd likely end up being "Facebook 10 News, 7 Action Twitter, Today's Snapchat 4"
16. Rebranded from KTXE to 'San Angelo's ABC 38' as well with a dedicated (albeit small) site.
17. Probably for a long time. KRBC has been with NBC since its inception in the 50's and KTAB is the #1 station in the market plus a strong CBS affiliate. IF this were to take place, the most likely poach would be Bonten's ABC affiliations on KTXS and KTXE.
18. KXVA is touting a "Big Change" coming on August 2nd. That seems like the debut day for them.
19. We're throwing around the 'phobics' like they're baseballs! I'm one of those gays, and I think Thomas Roberts is awful and not evening anchor material. Robin Red brings up solid points and I agree with a bunch of it. NBC would be smart not to bring anyone over from MSNBC.
20. And maybe Elvis is still alive and owns Nexstar behind the scenes!
21. "The Crack" weekdays at 3, before "The Now" on Denver 7.
