  1. She is. http://www.mediabistro.com/tvnewser/the-weekend-ticker-vega-hyatt-todd_b238131
  2. I've seen them start late many times due to special reports and they've never extended the newscast but I trust you.
  3. They never push back the Noon newscast. They go until 12:30 then Millionaire. So, maybe they did since they know it will change on Monday but they do not have a history of doing that.
  4. It was short, but it was a different cut of music than they had been using.
  5. Is David not allowed to anchor an entire broadcast from outside of the set? Why does there need to be someone in NY to do the rest of the days news. I'm just thinking, as a viewer, I wouldn't care if David did the entire broadcast on the road. In fact, I would prefer that to them going back and forth.
  6. Rebecca anchoring tonight, doing a great job.
  7. This is partially correct. At WN with Diane Sawyer, when David would anchor, ratings would be stable and often improve but when George would anchor, ratings went down from Diane's regular numbers.
  8. I'm very interested to see if the Instant Index is still there on Monday. It wouldn't surprise me either way. Also, they changed the WN page on ABCNews.com to say WNT. http://abcnews.go.com/wn I saw this too and laughed. Obviously, they are joking around.
  9. It's long because that's essentially the base commercial. I just saw on of these David Muir promo's air on WABC, it was shortened to a normal length and it's a very good promo. And what does it matter if it does, or doesn't have an apology on it? You and others on this website should be happy if there will be less fluff.
  10. In interviews, David often mentions how Peter Jennings inspired him. I wouldn't be surprised if WNT goes back a little to the Jennings days.
  11. They had David anchor GMA this morning which I think is very smart to get viewers even more accustomed to David.
  12. Just to offer a source for other users here.... http://instagram.com/p/rnWAhqqG-u/
  13. I'm glad the music is the same and that they have returned to the longer open! And love that it is returning to WNT!
  14. Hahahaha, done!
  15. I'm literally addicted to the current theme, I really hope they don't change it. The name doesn't really matter to me either way. I like the graphics but if they updated it a little, I wouldn't mind.
  16. So just watched tonights CBS Evening News online, no mention of Diane.
  17. If you missed the broadcast, here is the full show... The promos have the current music so I doubt it. And I love the current music package!
  18. When Katie Couric signed off, the intro was just "This is the CBS Evening News." It's looking more and more like they are going back to "World News Tonight." Their Facebook page url now says Facebook.com/WorldNewsTonight.
  19. I find it funny actually, all weekend and this week, ABC has been promoting David's "Made in America" report, "THIS WEDNESDAY" which happens to be Diane's last day (probably not a coincidence). I have a feeling David will have something to say to Diane.
  20. I doubt there will be much change with David's move to the anchor chair. I think ABC just wants a small passing of the baton and not much more.
  21. NOW CONFIRMED: Tonight will be Diane's final night on WN. Brian Stelter is reporting that Amy Robach will anchor on Thursday and Friday and David will anchor on Monday.
  22. So with Diane leaving on Thursday and David starting on Tuesday, who do u think will anchor the 4 days in between. Between Katie Couric and Scott Pelly, CBS had Harry Smith anchor. I could see Dan Harris anchoring or having David anchor unofficialy until Tuesday. What do you think?
  23. Well the Holiday promo's are supposed to be corny. All the stations that do them, make them corny for fun.
  24. Diane did her final "person of the week" segment last night. This either means she will end before next Friday or on Friday, that section of time will be used to celebrate Diane. Either way, it's getting bitter sweet to watch WN with Diane. Update: a person working for WN tweeted it was Diane's last Friday, so I guess that Thursday will be her last day.
  25. Savannah had her baby girl today!
