Oh, I absolutely hate one evening news team but I think that is the way they would move if Dana retires, moves or is not extended.

I could see them following WBBM and having Maurice and Kristine do all evening broadcasts on WCBS.

You and someone else have mentioned this. What is your reasoning for thinking this, just wondering...

It had previously aired. I actually got a video of it, it is a very good promo. Likely to replace the current "More reporters on the ground etc..." promo. Very nice promo plus it has the new logo.

Clearly people disagree with you considering they are the most watched morning news in NY by a long shot. Sometimes I think we just want some kind of change because it can get boring to follow NYC News behind the scene otherwise. No anchor change is needed at WABC.

I hope they add Heather to the morning open because she really is an important part of the newscasts (just as much so as Bill Evans).

From multiple of the anchors on social media, they are shooting new promo and talent opens today.

I noticed today that instead of a "Special Weather Report," they now use "This is a Channel 7 Eyewitness News AcuuWeather Alert.

I just saw it for the start of EWN at 5. It has this look [see below] and says "This is breaking news from Channel 7 Eyewitness News." Unless they changed something yesturday, the video link I posted is the open they have been using for "This is breaking news from channel 7 eyewitness news."

I didn't get to watch EWN at 6 tonight but was it the Breaking News open as seen in this EWN video at :29? http://abclocal.go.com/wabc/story?section=resources/tv_listings&id=9102311

WABC has updated there logo with the new abc logo and an updated 7. Also, I don't see it posted but they are now using "breaking news" in the breaking news open instead of "Special Report."
