WMAR/Channel 2 News in the 1988 as NBC.

Or a Dinosaur who in Gannett/TEGNA fold that hasn't been apart of the mass cutting. Brenda Wood at WXIA said she leaving on her own, but you have to wonder. Andrea Roane, Bruce Johnson, Topper Shutt have been mainstays at W*USA will they'll get the boot? Another Jeannie Blaylock, Ken Amaro & Tim Deegan another mainstay at Channel 12 in Jacksonville, It seems that TEGNA wants young and cheaper and pre-TEGNA you had alot of strong iconic anchors in those markets placed well with big salaries. Now, you if you can get them a fraction of the cost all is well. Also Sandra Hughes returns to WFMY Channel 2 in Greensboro.

What about Bonten Media or Cordillera Communications for WNWO? Surprise Sinclair pulling the plug on them. In some markets Sinclair has invested in some stations, but then again; Sinclair pulled the plug on KDNL & WXLV.

OUT: Gloria Neal at WGCL/CBS 46 (of course nobody stays there long-term) http://radiotvtalk.blog.ajc.com/2016/11/22/gloria-neal-gone-from-cbs46/

I would have to agree. She starting to be typecast where she replace iconic anchors, and let hope she stays in this role.

With WEWS falling flat and WJW #1, WKYC#2 WEWS #3 it time for WOIO to make some aggressive moves to move the station up. When WEWS can't hold on to it legacy, and WOIO becomes the moral compass in Cleveland. There's a problem. WEWS needs to look at themselves in the mirror & makes some minor changes. Evening Team not a problem, but all these Scripps mandates is part of the problem, and a slew of others.

Stupid decision for Tegna to drop WWL Morning News on Channel 4. Are viewers really going to switch over to WUPL to watch the news? CBS This Morning has come a long way, but WWL Morning news has been king for decades.

KDNL ABC30 in St. Louis in 1999 (Sinclair owned newscast pretty solid and nice set) IDK what happened why they cancelled their newscast. WXLV ABC45 in Greensboro, NC in 1998( The same thing another solid newscast, nice polished set) again what happened?

With Raven Baxter High School super powers at 30yrs old with kids. That view will be on The Disney Channel.

Rosie would have a heart attack on tv if that happens. If Donald loses the election E! should give him his own reality show. One thing is he's entertaining.

WXYZ/Detroit Channel 7 11pm Update in 1992 part 2

WXYZ/ Detroit Channel 7 first 13minutes of the news. (Not a fan of the opening, but I did like this set which only lasted for a few years, lots of camera angles.)

Will Mearl Purvis and Darrell Greene be headling the 6:00 newscast?

She left own her own because she got her own show. 1st on HLN and then she got another show on Current TV. The story I heard was that Joy wanted to leave on her own, and she wasn't coming back. ABC is heavy on research and focus groups and the research said that audience didn't care for Elisabeth Hasselbeck. So ABC felt it needed to get rid of Elisabeth, but ABC was hesitant about letting Joy go. There was some pressure that they didn't want the show to be too liberal or too conservative. At the end ABC said let them both leave at the end of their contract to usher them out. Brian Frons was the head of ABC Daytime 2002-2011; but when All My Children & One Life to Live got the boot. Many people wonder what was the state of the daytime dept. Brian left, many people hated him for the slaughter of the (2) soaps. Vikki Dummer, came in follow by Lisa Hackner now Rebecca Campbell...However make note Anne Sweeney wanted to kill all 3 soaps on ABC at the same time. However this could be The View last season as well too.
